Looks good. But thes are pretty damn tough stock. If you broke a stock lower link mount you'd have bigger issues. Hahahaha But, you're set now! Best money you can spend, get Irie's bellcrank steering for GCM plate. Best mod period Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It finally quit raining long enough to get this truck out of the living room. The stock steering servo smoked after 15 min ( I spent longer then that making sure the end point's were correct ) So made a few changes swapped the Servo to a Savox SC-1258 TG I had in the hoard. Attachment 331782 Swapped the ESC to a MambaMax PRO & motor to a Tekin 10.5 T Brush-less all so a MIP rear drive shaft.. Just cause I wanted 2 Attachment 331783 Junked the stock wheels and tire's to some 1.9 Aluminum bead-lock's to match the Yeti and Voodoo 1.9 KLR's Attachment 331784 Going to rethink the battery placement the front end is very nose heavy off jumps Last edited by Tom G; 08-29-2016 at 04:49 PM. |

I had the same experience with the battery up front.... My solution was to relocate all the electronics to the front, place a dummy servo with no guts in it behind the functioning one, and install the battery were the old electronics lived. Adding the dummy servo makes that area flat and allows the battery to site there all happy like It also places the second heaviest component (battery) opposite the Motor (heaviest) to somewhat balance the chassis out. Hope to see you this weekend Tom.HotWheels000 But kind of a pain in the ass to take the body off to change out the battery between heats plus the threads in plastic don't last all that long to begin with[/QUOTE] After some thought I broke down the spare tire pulled out the foam and warped some 3/16 lead wire around the inside of the wheel and remounted the tire. (I want to keep the spear tire on the truck for appearance's) With battery mounted in the front this moved the balance of 3' 2oz on the front axle to 3' 5oz on the rear axle shifting the CG to just slightly to the rear of the wheelbase C/L Attachment 331794 Well see how it fly's its easy enough to add remove a little lead Last edited by Tom G; 08-29-2016 at 04:49 PM. |

Ran down to the local indoor short course carpet track to do some testing and Ya the lead idea in the rear tire did work out UNLESS YOU WANT TO ENTER A WHEELIE CONTEST Plus the CG was to high so the truck wanted to roll to easily, so I ditched the lead & put the battery back in the stock location. Modified GCM axle truss & battery tray so the rear diff got full compression with out bottoming on the battery tray. Which was the was the original reason to move the battery to the front of the truck "DA" It still torques the right front up a little and wants to wheelie over backwards in high gear from a standing start , but that's on carpet that has WAY WAY MORE TRACTION then dirt Unfortunately the local dirt short course is a lake right now Hopefully will get a chance some packs on dirt before the U-4 Race this weekend |

Great looking twin hammers! Yours is basically what mine is about to be lol. I currently have a lot of parts coming in the mail. Do you feel that your motor combo is a little over powered or no? Still trying to decide on which motor to go with.
