Default GCM Front Plate - Shocks

So when I bought the GCM front plate and Shock hoops the website says it is designed to be used with stock SCX10 shocks.
So I put some SCX10 shocks on it and the now the axle drive shafts come out of the drive cup on the diff at full extension!!
What's the solution here? Shorter shocks??

Im facing the same issue. My understanding is you can shorten shocks by using fuel line on the inside of the shock so it extends less. That's probably the easiest solution.

You can also use longer dog bone axles but I'm not sure how easy that is to do.

It specifies somewhere that you have to shorten the stroke of the SCX10 shocks to 85mm. A lot of people have chose to run the Gmade 85mm shocks though some still have issues with the dogbones.

You can pick a longer dogbone from Team Associated (not Twin Hammers specific) that fit and fixes the problem. I don't have the part numbers off the top of my head but they are in this forum.

I run the SCX10 Icon shocks with a 5mm internal limiter in accordance with GCM's instructions and have had no problem with the dogbones popping out. Jerry

Don't compromise your shocks by shortening them, need all the travel you can get. Order the Associated parts and you will be golden. I had your exact same problem about a week ago. Ordered those parts and never looked back. PM me if you have any more questions.
