| Arctic Trucks Norge - Top Gear North Pole Special
I thought you guys might like this. I had a customer from Norway stop by the store last year. Eggert is his name and we had a good chat. He's a great guy and we've spoken here and there since then. He works for a 4x4 company in Norway called Arctic Trucks Norge AS (www.arctictrucks.no)(and in english http://www.arctictrucks.com/) They make some sweet trucks and have gone on some awesome expeditions. Here are some pics of their expeditions: Greenland Expedition: Antarctica Expedition: Anyway, I just recently found out that Eggert and the Team over at Arctic Trucks where chosen by Top Gear to modify the Hilux for the Top Gear Arctic Special!!!!!!! Sweeeeeet!!!! There trucks are cool! Now I'm trying to get a poster for the team to sign for me. Check out the details of the Arctic Challenge: http://www.invinciblehilux.co.uk/ http://www.arctictrucks.com/?PageID=1218 And watch it on YouTube: http://youtube.com/results?search_qu...&search=Search |

That's very cool Kevin, a lot of different challenges for the trucks to deal with in the extreme cold. And the views are WOW |

those trucks look unstoppable....i remember there being a special on discovery channels a few years ago about some arctic toyota trucks and an expedition across alaska maybe....i cant remember...i wonder if its the same company...all i remember is them spraying hairspray around a rim and throwing a match at it to inflate it....i thought that was pretty effin cool.

Nice posting Kevin thanks for sharing Arctic Trucks. If your rig breaks down on a extreme trip you'd really be fried. |

Seen it before, but very cool! Nice pics! Yeah that trick doesn't always go well and can get you killed if the tire explodes. Good reminder Jay. Last edited by Natedog; 09-01-2007 at 12:11 PM. |

nice trucks. now is there ANY difference between those toyota HiLux's and the Tacomas we get here? (besides what appears to be a diesel engine...) |
