DE Racing Wheels (modified for hubs) Hey guys. I'm back as a vendor and will be selling under the new name of Superstition Machine Works, SMW for short. http://i596.photobucket.com/albums/t...ps49982295.jpg My first offering will be the simple yet often requested "hubbed" DE racing wheel. Until recently was unable to efficiently modify these but that is no longer a problem. I start with an American made DE Racing "Borrego" 2.2 Wheels (TLR22) and precision CNC machine them for a perfect fit with a SLW hub. **Tech Specs** Outside Width: 1.00" (0.76" if you removed the inner ring and glued to the next rib) Inside Diameter: 2.10" Depth from Inner Face to Ribs: 0.48" Weight: 12g http://i596.photobucket.com/albums/t...ps65316ecf.jpg http://i596.photobucket.com/albums/t...ps64de547c.jpg http://i596.photobucket.com/albums/t...psa53b4022.jpg PM ME TO ADD YOUR NAME TO THE NEXT BATCH NO MONEY DOWN BATCHES ARE TYPICALLY DONE ON A WEEKLY BASIS Price per set (4 wheels) is $40.00 SHIPPED TO THE USA USPS Priority International shipping rates need to be quoted before you pay. If you are interested PM me for further details. Thanks Rob |

Re: DE Racing Wheels (modified for hubs) Not much chatter but the first round has sold out. If you would like to put your name on a set for the next batch (no money down) PM me. I will wait a few days and order in some more. They come in Black, White, Silver and Yellow... http://i596.photobucket.com/albums/t...psa804b00f.jpg |
Best machine work I've seen in some time. My set is hands down my favorite and I will be ordering 1-2 more sets after ECC. No one can deny their super light weight. Get yourself the best wheels for those ultra light trucks. |
Re: DE Racing Wheels (modified for hubs) PM sent;-) (I miss the first batch:x) |
Re: DE Racing Wheels (modified for hubs) For everyone that pre-ordered for the next batch... The wheels should be in may hands tomorrow. I have a busy weekend coming up but will get as far down the list as time permits. I will PM you when your set/sets are ready. Thanks for the support guys"thumbsup" Rob |

Re: DE Racing Wheels (modified for hubs) PM Sent. I was mesmerized for the whole video. So cool. Thanks. |
Re: DE Racing Wheels (modified for hubs) I might not have a crawler but that doesn't mean I can't do some, um, durability testing:shock: Apparently you shouldn't try a new setup on your 20th hour of the day. Touched off the .500" gauge block on the left wheel. Double checking against the right wheel I rapid the mill down to Z0, with the gauge block in place. So this is what an unmodified DE wheel looks like with the center pushed in 1/2" http://i596.photobucket.com/albums/t...ps83dd6edd.jpg Popped back surprisingly well really... http://i596.photobucket.com/albums/t...ps4649e075.jpg http://i596.photobucket.com/albums/t...psb74c4e63.jpg I'm calling it a night:ror: |
Re: DE Racing Wheels (modified for hubs) opps, cheap mistake no foul. "thumbsup" |
Re: DE Racing Wheels (modified for hubs) Got mine in the mail yesterday, awesome job on them. I would recommend these to everyone."thumbsup" Now to get some more foam tuning in and mount up my VOODOO tires. |
Re: DE Racing Wheels (modified for hubs) Just in case anyone was wondering, here is a set of .70" SLWs, with Crawler Innovations DD foams, a set of Rovers and a set of Sedonas. My go to set up. 1lb 8oz, or 1.5 lbs... http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/n...ps040f5949.jpg Now, 4 of rob_b's modified DE Racing wheels, with some new gold dot VOODOOs, Crawler Innovations closed cells, with some tuning rings and other foams stuffed in those tires, with the VP SLW hubs I plan to use. YES, the hubs are on there.. 1lb, 0.25oz, or 1.01 lbs. http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/n...ps6f4f4547.jpg Need to loose some weight guys, here is one way...."thumbsup" Thanks rob_b |
Re: DE Racing Wheels (modified for hubs) I'm glad you guys approve:mrgreen: Batch #3 is complete and PM's have been sent. I already have some names waiting for batch #4 so I'll take orders through 5/12 then get those wheels coming. Thanks guys"thumbsup" |
Re: DE Racing Wheels (modified for hubs) I did end up with 1 extra set (4 wheels) in SILVER from the last batch if anyone is looking for a set ASAP. Thanks |
Re: DE Racing Wheels (modified for hubs) Will the Lattice Innovations Shift Hubs fit on your wheels? I know the bolt pattern is the same as the SLW. I am not sure about the circumference if it will fit in the cnc machined area you did. |
