No, unless you want a lot of broken parts.

| the NOVAK ROOSTER CRAWLER AND 55T MOTOR is fine just put a 19tooth pinion. id sugest going to some sort of a HS 7955 or higher servo with a CASTLE CREATIONS B.E.C. unit. id suguest getting a 3cell lipo, it will very much increase the power. id sugest maybe going with a 1000mah 40c 3cell lipo with a nice biult in balancer charger and and u would need a NOVAK 3CELL LIPO SMART STOP, so u dont burn up the esc and your battery.

I'm running a novak rooster esc, novak 45t motor, 19 tooth pinion and a 2s lipo. I have alright speed and great crawling power. I'd say for you to keep your rooster, go to a 3s lipo battery & bec and a 35 t motor.

I agree with the need for cutoff, I have had really bad luck killing LiPo's

I run the early Novak Goat with the 18.5 motor. It works great with the stock pinion. I have broken two axle pinions, but I was in some bad binds and tried to power out. If I could buy another one, I would have gotten the newer Goat 3s so I could run a 3s lipo. The motor is a bit notchy at slow speed, but never to the point of breaking traction. |

I ran the novak goat 18.5 system on my creeper with no issues for over 2 years. Just make sure you upgrade the drive shaft or if you get in a bad bind, you'll snap the drive shaft almost every time. Punisher shafts will be key. Aside from that, it is a great set up! If I were to do it again though, I would get the 21T Balistic. Just make sure you gear mesh is perfect, if it's too loose you'll strip the gears under hard bashing. Keep that gear box greased!!!
