Default 1.9 Rock Stompers Test Run

i took out my k5 for the first time with the rock stompers. big improvement compared to the high lift tires i had before. for this trip i ran the tires unmodified and full foams. you can tell in the video around the 3:10 mark that i need to cut the foams they were a little stiff.

How far from your home do you have to travel to get to that spot? Your rig is super capable and and those tires look to have killer grip! thanks for sharing...

Default Tire mounting...

Bowtie,,,, I need your advice. Did you have to glue your tires on? I have the exact same tire/wheel combo and mine don't seem to be a good fit. I don't want to glue them untill i know it will work.

thanks for youre assistance.
btw, do you have that video on google by chance? i can't watch youtube here at work. :(

Nero.

sorry man i don't have that one on google.

yes they are glued on but only in 4 spots around the rim, both front and back. i did it that way so i would have an easier time removing the tire if i needed to cut the foams.

also on the back side i didn't glue them to the wheel bead i glued them the the inner lip. i did that for clearence issuses i had in front with the shocks.

ive heard the bead of the tire is larger then the bead of the rim.

BOWTIE, if you run on some dirt let us know how they clean out.

Default Thank you Bowtie

Thanks for that picture and reply. there are no hobby shops here, and only a handfull of rc enthusiasts, so i have to rely on your guys' experience and posts to get my scaler built!

Thanks again.

Wicked test video.

For all the complaints I've heard in regards to these tires, they seem to hook up pretty darn good to me!

the closest i came to dirt today had some sand in it.. they cleaned out pretty well. with that creek having all kinds of lines to try it's hard to stay off the rock.

here's a video from today... dirt's toward the end.
