Default WV Crawlers (now with 100% more video)

I would like to organize a half day or maybe a full day competition here in huntington wv. The local park has a very nice uphill trail with a mix of mud, roots, lots of rocks, and some perils overhangs. The trail offers a full range of difficulty from mild to wild. I have taken stock nylints ( both sizes) up it but there are parts my modded txt wouldn't think of trying. If there in anyinterest i will take pics of the trail and make a intro movie :-P. My house is only a block away and coul be used as a charging area. Lets make it happen

I am about an hour or a little more north of you in Parkersburg. Do you have any good spots down that way?

I live in Winfield. New to crawling and would love to find some other local crawlers to get together with!

I'm going to try to get TCRC in Huntington to put up a crawler track at the outdoor off road track. So we will see what happens.

Wow, good to see this thread resurrected. Since i last posted i have moved back to hurricane where i grew up. The good news is i now have 6 acres to play on, aka build a track. There is also a creek that runs through my land so lots of opportunity there. Maybe this summer some of us can get together and build a crawler course somewhere here. Also i have thought seriously about building a dirt track and hosting some races for other classes. I have the land, i have the equipment (front end loader), and i have the will. I think it could be a great addition since the closest tracks now are about an hour and half either way.

You know there is one in Lavalette, right?

I have a place here in Ona thats a decent crawling spot. 'Blocker' and I have been talking about a get together when the weather breaks. Grill some brats, have a cold beer, and run the trucks some afternoon. You can bring your fishing pole and catch a few small mouth while ya take a break

yeah i used to race motocross at lavalette. But again , it is pretty far from hurricane. I'm game for getting together sometime. Let me know when. We can even do some creek crawlin at my place or head to the park also.
