Kind of under snow right now. There is maybe 3 or so people from Rockford I go crawling with. We go to Wisconsin, in the Dells area there is Devils lake. We crawl there alot during the summer. http://mwrca.net/111205.aspx Know of any good spots? |

The Rock River snakes near my house too, I crawl near it alot during the summer. Lots of big landscaping rocks near a boat ramp. I've been to a few good hobby shops in Janesville. I regret not going to Devils lake a whole lot this year. |

I've checked the Wis membership here at RCC. I wonder why someone doesn't start up something in your area. There's lots of members registered from Janesville, Madison area. | |

There is a Hobbytown in Machesney park, IL on North alpine. Very crawler friendly they stock lathe motors and different things. I have friend that works there that checks in on this site often. Probably your next closest hobby shop. Then you have R/C Performance and Hobby in Madison. I usually stop there on the way to Devils lake. It's a good size shop, with a full indoor offroad track. The people there are very nice and they have a lot of stuff in stock. Not really crawler people though, but we have raided the hobby shop as a club so they have a idea of what you want. Your right about that hobby shop being a shed, some guys house. But, my brother has had good success buying different things. I think there is two shops in Janesville. As for people not starting something in Wisconsin. I've found that 60% of the people from Wisconsin that log time on here are too young to drive. If you ever want to go to Devils lake just set a time I'll try to make it. |
