Looks good, i got the one in the yeallow box to, never had a problem with the gears but shreaded an axle shaft the second it started crawling on the rocks. I need to put some lower turn motors in mine but for now the 55turn will have to do, me and winding my own motors = 2 ruined motors |

I love the idea of the two servos... Do you think it's going to give them more strenght? I liked the body you had on it. Looked bad ass. My X is still on top of a shelf waiting for a money pit. Here in Cali it doesn't rain anymore, when it does ill be he first one to the end of the rainbow looking for the treasure.

One servo feel really week for this bigthing. two is alot better strenght, but you have to connect right two servo link two servo not fight each other. help each other you know what I mean... Today I did worked on shock mount.. this is simplest way to do it.. works alot better then before.. Now I can see the front and back shocks now.. Little mod body bad seat better too.. I bent the low links and move one hole to outside. Last edited by ke6geu; 08-16-2009 at 12:49 AM. |

Extremly good looking truck. Nice set-up for the shocks. I put teflon on edge of the shock cap and cylinder so when i put the cap it won't leak. its work so far. you just have to make sure you bleed the shock before you tighten it because if you dont the bottom part of the shock will shoot out.(Speaking from experience). IMO new shocks are not needed, you just have to have a little imagination.

| For $200 i would go with the bullys, dont get me wrong i like the x-crawler, but im afraid to put it in a bind, the solid axle shaft its not a comp friendly design.

XTM is not bad just 4 gear need to weld. that is it.. all for $199 Last edited by ke6geu; 08-19-2009 at 08:46 PM. |

| Granted it would be quite a bit more to set up but will most likely be more durable, But if you break an axle shaft on it you wont be able to Finnish that course or any other course that day for me at least i havnt been able to remove pins without a vice.

From this perspective, everything on the XTM sans the axles is junk. On a side note: Most guys are somewhat apprehensive towards the axles. The XTMs are based of a older RC4WD axle line name "Raptors." If you search for Raptors you'll see their record of breaking and being too high geared for crawling. .................................. Back to the point: Either way to be competitive would require a major overhaul. So you spend several hundreds to get a XTM in shape and hope they hold up at the end. Not to mention spare parts or go to a sturdier design for the same price. | |
