Hulkwerks F-150 Prerunner/Crawler

I got this from Mike about a year ago. It was red when I got it so I painted it orange to match the body better. I just sold it right before Christmas and the piece under the bumper was still there. I'm not sure why it was cut off. Good luck with your build.

Yeah, after looking at the pics from Mike I realized that it was painted orange. I'm so used to looking at the pics from when Mike had it that I just automatically thought it was still red.

oh,but still let us know how it performs.

I just got it up and running. I only got to drive it for like a minute before the batt died though. It did pretty well considering the tlt shocks suck so bad, the longer wheelbase helps a lot. I'll post some pics later."thumbsup"

In "temporary" running condition. I try and get some action pics this weekend if the weather hold out.

You dirt bag!! Ive been wanting that f150 body and tuber work ever since i saw it like ages ago. Im glad to see it up and running.

That thing is exquisite. I'm starting to salivate a little. I guess I will have to build one too."thumbsup"

It takes persistant asking and eventually they will give in and sell it to you. I had to do it to the last two owners but he finally gave in.

Thanks.
Give it a shot, I'd like to see some more prerunner style crawlers out there."thumbsup"

Wrecker,

Dang how many rig projects do you have going on right now bro:lol:, looking forward to checking this gnarly chassis out at the comp also. Never seen a chassis body combo quite like it, looks pretty sweet. Now you have another tube scaler for the scale series. I'm still trying to get the money for a scale chassis so I can join you crazy bastards.

Now if mother nature will only cooperate.

Thanks Stew.
Yeah, I have way too many projects going on right now. Hopefully the weather holds out for this weekend so you can check it out."thumbsup"

Finally got back to working on this thing. Tentatively this will be my 2.2 Scaler for the MSD Scale Nationals, but that might change as the even gets closer.

Here is the new setup......for now.

Axial Axles (stock for now)
Pede tranny
55t Hand Wound Integy (35t in the future)
12v 3s E1-Moli and/or 9.9v 3s a123 batt
Mamba Maxx
Castle BEC
Spectrum DX3R Radio
TP MG995 steering servo
TP MG995 winch servo (not yet mounted)
Proline Black on Black beadlocks
Losi Rock Claws (Might run Moabs, but I don't have them here yet)
Narrowed Masher for spare tire (still have to narrow it)
Duratrax Evader ST Rear shocks on all four corners
Unsure on shock oil or springs yet, will know after some tuning
Pede shafts (Maxx shafts in the future)

Here are some pics of it in progress.

I think the black wheels look 10x better than silver/aluminum/chrome wheels, it gives it that bad ass mean look.8)

OMG all of your rigs are on fire! lol

Looks awsome man! Hulk does some amazing work. "thumbsup"

Looks good on 'em.

Thanks."thumbsup"

The two grappler bodies were painted by ftr. His work is AWESOME! Definitely worth every penny, and they were pretty cheap too, considering all of the different colors and time it takes to do true fire.

nice paint sweet truck"thumbsup"

Thanks.

Here are some pics from this morning. This thing REALLY impressed me with how capable it is. Without even tuning anything it performed really well. I think I'm just going to put some fresh shock oil in the shocks and switch out the front springs to losi whites and it will bw good to go. It was an absolute blast to drive, it just needs a 35t motor so it can haul ass like trophy truck should.

NO! I think it needs a 7 turn puller motor!:twisted::twisted::twisted::twisted: Trophy trucks need to be able to "air it out"!8)

I wish, the motor can is touching the frame on one side and the tranny is touching the frame on the other side. No way to fit a bigger motor.:-(

With the 35t and 12v it will definitely be able to air it out. It is pretty quick right now with the 55t and 9.9v.

Man that thing looks good. The body & paint, the chassis, the whole package. Nice.

Thanks."thumbsup"
