Hi all,

Im a newbie with crawlers. I got the J2-TT chassis. I have the axial drivetrain in it. My issue is with links being to long. Wat is the best way to legnthen them. Should I remake new links. How do I go about this.

Thx :?:

Sorry I need to shorten them. Im sitting at 13.75 in wheelbase. Should I take out 1 in up front and 0.5 in in the rear.

Thx

depends if you wanna change the weight bias to the front or rear. more weight in the front is the norm, but I feel a 50/50 setup is easiest to tune.

If your links are delrin, cut off the desired amount, redrill for the correct thread size, and replace the rod end.

I am curious as to how you ended up so long in the wheelbase using the stock lengths???? I just did the same build 2 weeks ago, and used the stock bent lenghts for the lower links, and used custom solid 60mm upper links just to tilt the pinion angle up a tad for better driveline geometry. With these stock links, I ended up at 12 3/4"....so I just shaved 1/8" off of each lower link....thus bringing me to 12 1/2".
