Camp Out? Post Up

meramec state park

Hey Guys, This Is Angie. I Just Went To Meramec State Park Web Site And The Camp Grounds Are Closed They Are Flooded, As Of Yesturday. Dratch , Did You Get To Make Reservations? Let Us Know , Please.

Well if he hasnt reserved yet...Babler is well above flood areas ..not sure about crawling spots tho

I tried calling yesterday with no answer, I just tried again, no answer... I did not get reservations made... The river should be back down by the weekend, but who knows... Mav said in another thread that Babler has no crawl spots, hard to believe... I know there is a rocky creek bed that runs through the park, havent been there in ages...

Dratch...

I know there is camping near onadaga. and a cave, and float companies, and a free shooting range, but I don't know about rocks, and it may be under water also.

Update

Check this out http://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis/uv?07014500 the river is below flood stage currently at Sullivan, I am staying hopeful the campgrounds will be open by Friday. The State Park Site wasn't updated today, I will be checking back tomorrow. As of now I am still camping at Meramec this weekend"thumbsup"

Dratch

The thought crossed my mind earlier, but with no shower house, restrooms, river, etc. I'm not sure if I can talk my lady into it:roll:

HE HAS NICE RESTROOMS... NO SHOWER HOUSE .....SO THATS PROLLY OUT

Is it set up for camping? IE picnic tables, etc? or is it "primitive"? I think it's and awesome alternative if the State Park is still closed, but with the river levels already down I see it being open.
