Before I doll out the coin for one of these bad boys ... has anyone had any experiences with them glitching?

Can anyone tell me how may volts the RX can handle?

The DX3R was money well spent. Itll damn near pay for its self in the $ you will save on batteries. Ive been running the same 4 AA for like 3 months:shock:

The 3R is worth every penny, I think I read somewhere that they test them at 9 volts. I am not 100% sure of that so don't quote me. I run all my SR3100 at 6 volts with no problems at all. The radio will bind with the SR3000,SR3100,SR3500, and the Losi 2.4 GHZ rx.

So your giving up your Profi 403? My first DXR3 had no steering at all, I talked to the Spektrum guys at Horizon the had me do several things over the phone and then said send it in. I returned it to the dealer as it was new. I bought a used one (for sale section of RCC) not only was it a good price it has functioned perfectly.

No, I'm not totally giving up on it. I have some trucks it works just fine with but something about my AL slingshot is "haunted" and I'm considering going a step up. Before I drop the coin though I wanted to see if anyone has any glitch experience with them. "thumbsup"

Is Horizon the best/cheapest place to pick one up?

Check with RPP hobby 1st I think he has a good dill on the 3R, I call dibbs on the Multiplex Profi 403, I need a spare for my other Multiplex Profi 403 :lol:

I have experienced no glitching issues but I have had several recivers go bad.:-(

Were you running them at higher voltage or did they just go poof? Were you able to get them replaced my the dealer/manufacturer or did they tell you to get stuffed?:ror:

Horizon Should be able to take care of you no problem. If it is brand new and bad a dealer should take care of it no problem. At the shop I work at we deal with Horizon daily, awesome people they are I tell ya. Almost everyone I talk to there ends up asking me questions about how I like this and that and ask about if Ive seen this coming out or what is your opinion on that, etc.

The DX3R is my next radio.

At first I was running them at 6 volts and lost 3.Then I started running the reciver off the bec in the Castle MM and sidewinder(I have 5 rigs)And the servos off the CC bec. I have had 2 go down since then.
They just stop working.Horizon has fixed all of them but they can not nail down what is causing the problem.:-(

Wow, so this happens with different setups?

Which model RXs are you running?

My only issue is that I should have just purchased it to begin with instead of wasting $ on inferior radios. "thumbsup" No glitching, 3 position dig work flawless. Easy setup and adjustments.

I was using a frequency radio and my Hitec 5595 always had a little buzzing and I would glitch at low battery votages but that's gone with the DX3R :D

PM sent. "thumbsup"

I had no problems with mine so far, except for the smashed display when a friend dropped it:roll:, but i sent it back to Spektrum thanks to Corey at Rpp"thumbsup", they changed the display free of charge, thanks to Larry at spektrum, awesome c.s. on their department, anyways i love my dx3r
so far, i've had one time were i was running my losi dt and it would loose range at about 200-300ft, it hasn't happened again though.

Edit: i have ran 7-8cell nimh and 3s packs with the receivers and haven't had a problem so far, but whenever i did go over 6 cells i've had a c.c. bec wired in.

have some glitching time to time(could be something else causing it)........ no big deal tho.............. dont think Id use it for a fast rc. it is great for dig, easy set up-- hard to justify $270 for it.... youll like it
