My Tuber build, Hydraulic Steering, Custom Hubs, Front Dig with Disk Brake, lots of p

Awesome rig bro"thumbsup"! Just read this whole thread, not only do you have awesome ideas you have the skill to make your ideas work. I'm here in Carmichael and would love to check out that rig if you guys meet up at the lake, let me know when. Crap todays June 1st you guys might be there as I am typing. Great work bud, and thanks for your service to our great country!

Hello from Germany

Well Ive been here in Germany since the 27th of June, finnaly moved into my house, my household goods, motorcycle and more importantly R/C's and Shop tools will be delivered on Tuesday! I was lucky and was able to find a nice house with several rooms, one that is in the basement that i will use for my shop, not nearly as big as my shop back in the states but it will have to do for the next 4 years. Once I get the shop all put together I will start building again, Next project is a very scale 1/6th Chev Silverado"thumbsup" Ill post up pics in the Larg scale rigs section as soon as I get started.

its good to be back on the forum and reading what you all have been up to over the last few months! Great projects out there!

Cheers!
Shawn

Welcome back! Good to hear you are all settled in, must have been tough moving over seas. Sounds like you found a good place to live with enough room to tinker. I will be watching for the 1/6th build"thumbsup" Keep up the good work!

I tried to comment on this thread, but that's all that came out! Dude, Holy-friggin-Hell, I have never seen anything that comes even remotely close to the complexity, craftsmanship, ingeniousness, and sheer amazement of this rig and your work in particular...I am stunned, shocked, amazed, speechless, insanely-jealous, and even angry with depression over your superior skills...heh! Seriously, though, incredible work man, just simply incredible. If someone had told me about how insanely detailed and bad-ass your rig was, I would not believe them in a million years...no way in Hell! It's only the fact that I have seen the pictures that I believe what you have done! I mean, did the aliens come down and help you out? Haha!

Over the last month, I have been shopping for a nice precision end-mill and all the tools, clamps, bits, etc. needed to make just about anything I can design. I was wondering just how much could be done with an end-mill, and you just showed me, and I am sure there is much more that can be done as well. What I want to know, is, can you mill true circles and arcs with a manual end-mill? Or is it like an Etch-a-Sketch where you have to turn the two L/R & F/B knobs just right to make a curve? Also, I read where you could turn some end-mills into a CNC machine...can this be done with any decent end-mill, or do you have to start with an electric motorized end-mill? Thanks for any help you can provide, and please understand how amazed I am by your skill and work...just incredible!

enjoyed your last build and eager to see your next one. a very scale 1/6 scale sounds awesome

Good luck in Germany"thumbsup"

I literatly have an F-ing headache from reading and taking in all the info from this build. (about 2.5-3 hours) I really like how you use a lot of channels and have all the wires and lines running everywhere. Would like to see the hydro steering get put back on this truck.

Damn... insane gaggetry...This thing is going to weigh a ton... You probably have more money in copper wire than in parts :lol::lol: The hydro steer is cool, I did not know that a product was made for RC's or did you make it from scratch???

You are in a league of your own with this build...good work "thumbsup"nice photos.

amazing great job."thumbsup"

Thats one of the coolest most detailed tubers ive ever seen. Looks like Youve put alot of effort into, but ill bet its worth it.

Thank you all!!! Ya I spent a long time on this, more than my wife would like;-) Micro Hydraulic parts are available on the market, I just chose to fab my own. I am pretty settled in Germany now but my....what was a nice shop that I had back in the states has been reduced to a 15'x15' room. Ive made do with it and for the most part set up all of my equipment, benches ect, ect. Still going through all my boxes and bins from the move to get all of my tools organized so I can start building again. Also waiting for my wife to start working again so I have more time on my hands to do this stuff"thumbsup" I just took up flying Heli's as well but my next build is in planning on paper and parts are scattered all over, not to mention the two airplanes I have in work. Lots of parts and just suff all over. You dont realy realize how much stuff you have untill you are forced to pack it all up, move to the other side of the world and unpack it again. Before I know it, it will be time to pack it all up and move back to the states.....probably in the middle of a build unfortunatly. Its crazy how in just 7 months how far the RC Crawling hobby has come! Im amazed at all the new builds, Idea's, products! Cant wait to get back into it full time again. Oh and ya it weighs in at 17 1/2 pounds.....when it rolls over you know it:ror:
Glad you all enjoyed the read! I enjoy all of your comments!

CCFBERG............, you stated...., "Micro Hydraulic parts are available on the market, I just chose to fab my own."

Hey, do you know any company's that produce these parts or any you know of I can check out?

Thanks!

fyi, I am looking to build a hydraulic tilting bed for my tow rig. :ror:

Somebody mentioned on like page 16 the idea of having a suspension lowering system, like on the real pro comp crawlers and such. I'd like find out how it works and if could be applied.

No problem! Here you go:
http://www.gardentrucking.com/produ...atarq=products&Titlesumm=t&Titlesort=1&max=10

this is the complete list of all hydraulic parts that Garden Trucking sells, If you scroll down there is the
WEDICO Hydraulic System for dump beds. Looks to me like it is a complete system for what you want to do.

This is only one Company that sells this kind of thing. There are several out there. Also alot of micro air cyl will work as well but be carefull to find out if the internal seals are compatable with the type of fluid/oil you are going to use. If the seals are not compatable they may degrade or swell due to the chemicals in the oils.

Let me know if you need anything else.
Hope this helps!

This rig sucks, and so do you. You better get your tickets and your kitchen pass together, Nancy!

:roll:ASSCLOWN!! :ror:

Get your Bike ready ****er! :flipoff:

Nope, not yet! Too busy at work!!!!! However I did build a pretty sweet anti crash kit for my Heli the other day;-)

I have plans in work dont worry.

What have you been doing?

Lets decipher this post.....
Nope, not yet! Too busy at work!!!!! = My wife has me doing stuff at home and if I want the sexy time I have to do what she says.

However I did build a pretty sweet anti crash kit for my Heli the other day = I built a shelf to hold my transmitter and hung the heli from the ceiling, if I don't fly it, I can't crash it!"thumbsup"

Man, this guy is a slacker. I cant believe that he is taking credit for all of this stuff. He stole all my ideas and lifted some of these parts just so he would be popular on here. He knows he is in so much trouble, he moved overseas to avoid prosecution.........:ror:
