Mini Revo & Slayer

$135 would be awesome, but I don't think it's realistic. RC18t's are around $179. I have a hard time thinking that these could go for less.

RC18T's run closer to $159
RC18MT's run $159
RC18B's run $130-$159 (depending on which one)
Trinity 1/16 BRUSHLESS truggy runs $189
Losi 1/18 Raminator runs $175

Just sayin' that if Traxxas is going to try and get into the mini market..I think they need to make sure they don't price themselves out of it. ;)

I agree totally. I'm thinking 200 or slightly less would be fine. I think $135 is quite a bit lower than we'll see.

I also think $250 would be way too high on the other end.

And pricing themselves competitively, I think $150 would be perfect. I'd still buy one at that price. Any more, and I'd probably be leaning towards the full size Slash.

just got one set aside for me at my lhs for when they come in

now time to start shopping around for buggy bodies and wings

Is the brushless motor in the revo equal to a 540 size or is that a mini 380 size like the Slash?

Both run 380 size motors, even the brushless. Although I'm wondering how hard it would be to put in a 540 size motor.

I donno, a high speed 540 in something that small would be scary enough.

I think I'll the leave the Feigo upgrade to Chip Cross. :ror:

BigSquid said the Slash (as it's being called) will be about $200.... for that price, I'm getting a full size Slash.

Traxxas Mini Slash and Revo Production Pictures and Details!

Here are two pictures of the Traxxas 1/16 Mini Revo and Slayer that are production versions! These are not the mock ups that were at the iHobby show, but actually rolling/working vehicles show at the 1/18th scale nats!
Price will be around $199 for brushed versions and $320 for brushless! Release date is looking like the end of March! This is the first time the full production units have been shown. Both come with dual battery compartments so you can double your run time via parallel connection or double your voltage when wired in series. Brushless speedo cell limits are 12 cell NiMH or 3S LiPO. The truck will be called the Mini Slash and not Slayer despite it’s chassis lay-out. My guess is that with the amazing popularity of the Slash, you might as well ride that gravy train!
Both are very much exactly scaled down counterparts of their bigger brothers, tires are high quality rubber with soft inserts, the suspension is soft but fairly progressive, and the wheel base is about 1 inch longer than a Losi Mini LST!

I hope that it's the MSRP. Hopefully the street price will be lower. I'm eying the brushless version... water proof and insane speed; but the 320 price tag is pretty high for a 1/16 scale. I have a feeling that it'll be worth it thou.

Yeah let's hope the prices are the MSRP and not what they expect them to hit the street at. Traxxas sure is proud of themselves if they think I am going to give them $320 for a mini brushless truck.
