Tough Truck Challenge

iam thinking of getting some ttc comps going in my area. how do you score them? do you score them like a 1.9 or 2.2 comp/scale comp? or is it all custom point system?

Sweet videos! One thing I noticed is during the pulling part is that it looked like you guys hooked to the axles of the trucks instead of the frame, why is that?

Because i've tried pulling things with my scx10 both ways and hooked up to the frame it pulls a lot better. Just wondering:)

how often to you guys have this challenge?

That was first one. Finish lline hobbies is setting up to do more!!

Sorry cut off a little of your quote, but as for the hook-up; it was quick and simple8)..couple guys tried different, but no go...

what motor is in that white k5,and red dovetailed rig?

The K5 had a 27t Trinity P2k2, not sure on what else he had in it.

The red truck is Pepe, runs a Holmes Hobbies 7T Cobalt puller, 20C 2100mAh 11.1V LiPo, Sidewinder, and CCBEC

fun

Here are some vids from the Top Truck Challenge at Finish-Line-RC in Denver.

No one really even moved the Tonka truck, way too heavy. I think it was some where near 60#. It was so heavy that it actually created divots where the wheels were sitting. It may have moved for some but maybe 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch at best on the actual pull for score.

No one made it through the mud pit either. At the very end of the pit it was deep, maybe 5 or 6 inches. That and mud was thick, it was like cake batter. Once it started to stick, it weighed the trucks down too much to over come. Even with speed, once you started to sink you were done.

Great times though!

Just got some more of the event edited.

Here are a couple of the obsticle course.

This event was a fantastic one to be at and see these guys run. Hopefully I get a rig together for the next one and can be a participant, but doing video was a blast too.
If you get the chance, with all the new changes coming to Finish Line, the next Top Truck Challenge will be a come-to event.

Thanks for watchin,

JC
