Lake Catherine Palos Heights

Im going to check out a spot in Des Plains some time this coming week after work. On google maps it shows some rock there along the river. I will let you know.

more information please..... Ive been using google maps to look for spots... I found 1 perfect spot but, its off limits to people.

I also have heard that RACEWAY WOODS in Carpentersville has good trail/scale locations. Someone in here posted some info a while back. Maybe on Sunday the dog and I will go take a look.

That park has a waterfall with nice man placed rock formations that could be fun to play on but the park has very strick rules. You can't even ride a bike in it so I do not think they would let crawlers play.
There is a hiking / bike trail that runs along the shipping channel that does have some nice rocks and spots that could work out.
I took these last year while scouting the area. These were late season so the moss problem is evident. This is on the south side. Another trail runs on the north side with a couple usable areas but access is limited unless you hike or bike down the trail.

This last one is under the Harlem Ave bridge at the Cal Sag Hwy (Rt 83) crossing.

The Palos Quarry park at Rt83 & Archer has some good spots for trail trucks but little for the 2.2 crawlers (a good spot for supers, maybe, if you have a boat, is in the middle of the lake)
I haven't checked out the area near Bull Frog Lake yet, I have been meaning to some time.
