Losi 1/10th Roller

Excellent! I can't wait to hear if the puller works or not. Please post your results in a new thread. This one is getting a bit long. Any plans for RCC to have a section of the forum dedicated to this rig? It's probably about that time."thumbsup"

When they are available a forum will be made, just like every other new kit that has been released.

The 7 turn puller will not be a direct fit in stock form.

The 7 turn puller is 2.5" long. The available space in the new chassis, in stock form is right at 2.25" You may be able to mount the rear uppers to the outside of the chassis to squeeze it in, but the links may then interfere with the shock springs.

The pullers dia. does not appear to be an issue.

rats! I just got the 10T puller specifically for this rig.. oh well, at least the Cobalt 500 should fit, since it's smaller in diameter than a 540 can motor.

Read post #1145 for shipping date, prolly won't see one in your lhs for 2 weeks yet by the time horizon recieves and reships :(
Thanks for all the help and keeping us informed, Rich "thumbsup"

What servo's would you guys recommend? Steering and mini servo for dig? Also would I need two mini servos since the vehicle has frt & rear dig? Sorry the whole dig thing is new to me. And would my Futaba 3PK work?

Thanks

you only need 1 steering and 1 dig servo. a hitec 225mg would work for the dig, and a 7955tg for the steering. also your 3pk will have no problem controlling the truck

I'm sure this has been answered somewhere before but this thread is getting a bit lengthy so please forgive my ignorance. Is there any way to use a dx3.0 to enable the front and rear dig?

Swapping in a 3 pos. switch would still only leave me with 2 pos. correct, or would the servo center when the circuit is interrupted in the center pos. on the switch? Thought I saw a thread on this somewhere but I haven't been able to find it.

Think someone mentioned reversing the third channel tricking it to act like a 3 channel.

Leaving it normal would be center and one way, reverse it and you have center and the other way.

Not sure if it works as I don't have a dx3.0, a dx3 can be modified to have a 3 channel switch though.

Hey E-Hills, I moved down to Yuma, so I'll probably be hitting up your SD comps once in a while...and being your teamate and all, I am gonna give you a hard time!! LOL

7950TH for steering should do well, the 7955 is so last year!!

Awsome vid. Are you guy using the stock rock claws on both your rigs? If so that is insane, so many guys out here say that they are dated. I say ney, they are still a capable tire. Can way for next week when they ship. I will have my bud at the hobby shop call me when they are in route and what day they are going to show up, so I can close shop for the day and pick up mine."thumbsup"

Apple Valley with Jake driving..... Do i win a prize?"thumbsup"

LOL, Jake did do most of the stunt driving but I have one or two moments in there LOL.

Both Crawlers in the vid are bone stock with the exception of about 7 ounces of weight in each front tire and 4 ounces in each rear tire.
Jake may have had different shock locations on his rig, but when he is stunt driving my Comp Crawler (kit colors), that one is using all stock locations out of the box.

Both were using Blue Rock Claws (kit tires)

Thats an interesting idea. I also have a DX3.0 and was planning to just settle for front or rear dig only until I upgrade to another radio. But if I can just reverse the 3rd channel while driving in order to get front and rear dig, that would make me very happy. ;-) Any chance someone can confirm if this will work?

Great video by the way Rich!
