why are we not hearing more about this.

Hatred is everywhere. Every single person in this world hates someone else...for whatever reason....Murder is NOT the answer. It is NOT acceptable for someone to murder someone else because of their personal beliefs....

I could look into my past and find someone who wronged me or my family, however, I am not allowed to kill someone (who is unrelated to the situation....as these soldiers were) to exact revenge.

I agree with you here. Murder is NOT an acceptable action. My issue comes with the ease the "terrorist" label is thrown out at anyone who commits a crime anymore that isnt a middle of the road christian or a jew.

so to simplify what you wrote. murder is wrong.;)

If that person is associated with groups known for committing "terrorist acts", then I can see why our government would apply the label.

Profiling might be "wrong", but it is a practice that is used because it works...

Well, unless it is performed on unborn babies....:ror::flipoff:

no, sorry you cant. (thats my job) (quit stealin my jobs)

are the abortionist killings an act of terror as well? or is it only a terrorist act if a person of muslim faith does it?

(serious question we don't get the sensationalizing news coverage you do so im not aware if they are talking about those or not.)

Surely you must have enough stupid to share with others?

How in the hell did you go from murder to abortion? Wait a minute...

So you are offended because I called him a terrorist even though I didn't mention his religous views or profile him, just based on his actions?

Would you get worked up when soldiers are killed in combat and someone puts the "terrorist" label on the culprits?

Now the articls clearly stated that he was a muslim, but where did it say that he was associated with an actual terrorist group?

To classify all muslims as a "terrorist group" you really need to add Jews, Catholics, and Americans to your list of terrorists. Jews for Isreal's actions in Palestine, Catholics for the crusades, and Americans for the indian wars and Iraq.

I wasn't defending the article one bit. Just providing a possible explanation.

BTW, you have to remember that we are talking about an EXTREMELY sensationalist media. They will manipulate a story and use words that will sell their entertainment product.

Yes and Yes.

I dont see this argument going anywhere. Very interesting yes but people will always believe what they want and how they want. You can argue your side as much as you want but their will ALWAYS be someone who dissagrees. It's part of human nature and thats just the way it is. Doesnt matter if you are black, white, muslim, christian, you are human and you have an oppinion. This murder didn't have anything to do with religion and look what this thread turned into. An orgy of opinions. The spark was that they mentioned he was muslim and you guys jumped all over it. Yet another opinion. Automatically thinking if he's muslim he must be a terrorist is wrong. But, of course there are some people who would tell me I'm wrong.

my stupid shipment is late...

this thread was about media coverage at one point.. i presented something with a, perhaps, more supported (around here..) motive and said this hasn't had media attention (at least not up here so i can't speak for you guys.) or a thread made about it (fancy that eh?)

is this terrorism?

I wasn't suggesting that you were defending the article. Merely pointing out the whole in your logic based on the information that was provided at the outset of this debate.

And yes I know full well the value our media places on "shock value" ;)

Ummm....how do you know what his reasoning was? Just because of what was written in the article? HAHA!

BTW, am I the only person who read the sentence that stated his possible future targets?

Human nature at it's finest I think :D

Where in the flying **** did I call him a terrorist for being a Muslim or his religious views?

Yes and Yes.

I'm actually pissed off because I see a loop hole in the justice system.
