Hey guys, Im new to brazing and having some issues. Everytime I get the tube hot and start to melt the rod, it blows up? Could anyone give me some tips and maybe a list of what you guys use to braze your chassis? And do you have to dip the rod in flux? Or do they make brazing rods that already have that in it?
Thanks a bunch!! Nate

The brazing rod. I guess maybe im over heating it or something maybe??

what are you using for 'brazing rod' ......... is it a rod with white flux coated to it?

what type of heat source, gas, you using?

Normally I spread the flux onto the pieces im brazing, a light coat using an old toothbrush works for me.
