A note to SCX10 newbs like myself. Put some velcro on the battery/mount to prevent it from sliding forward and rubbing on the spur gear. I almost had to pull apart a stick pack and do some resoldering after the kids hammered the SCX10 into the curb a bunch of times. The battery rubbed on the spur for 30+ minutes and there was no insulation left on the wires. I'm not sure how they didn't short out.

Anyway, a little velcro fixed that problem. I'm sure the SCX10 vets already knew this.

Just noticed the extra links in the kit are approx 7mm longer than the stock ones, so you should be able to adjust the wheelbase to fit many other bodies.

Also, the cage is stout. The cage and removable fender flares made the body pretty stiff.

Q:Why didn't you use the forward position for the battery ? This would climb better and so your rear bumper would last longer (less wheelies).

I get what you're saying. I already added some velcro to the mount and my batteries, so there is no movement. But, you idea is a good one.

The LEDs come stock and yes, it's totally RTR. Just add your stick pack and 8AAs for the Tx. LEDs plug into the Rx and remain lit the whole time. They don't flash or blink like some kits that only turn on when the vehicle is moving.

The wheelies are fun for my daughter and this is a fun rig for myself. I don't care if it wheelies. I thought about putting some weight in the front wheels, but I might have to jump it, so I'm going to leave it stock for now.

Note: It will only wheelie if you reverse first and then hammer the forward throttle. This is not a Wheelie King.

How good is the 27T for crawling? Is it like the AX10 RTR or does it work a little better this time around? I know a higher turn motor would work a lot better but I'm hoping to leave mine stock for a while to see how good it actually does.

Also, is it as glitchy as the RTC is/was?

The 27t is a compromise between crawling and speed. If you want to use it to crawl exclusively, I would get a smaller pinion for it and/or get a higher turn motor.

I have only run it for one day, but it had no glitching issues.

Im going to have to buy one of these trucks. They are so awesome and very capable
