Adopt a newbie todaayy!!!

i just ordered a duratrax cliff climber and need help clocking the axles. i don't know how to build my own links:):?
I didnt know you clocked the axles on the cliffy? Links are easy. Just get 4-40 rod from home depot, cut them to length, and you can buy the parts bag for the rod ends from the axial ax-10 "thumbsup"

Yep. Heard him talking about it at the Southern Cup. I must say this definetly sucks..

Well, I am noobalicious when it comes to handwounds, but integy 45t motors wont last long at all. Im on my 3rd one...

I have been running Integy 45 turns for a while now with no issues. And the great thing they are less than $20 to replace. But I do want to try some HH handwound 45 Turns

Yikes nice wiring

I've run my berg in two comps now, am I still a newb? I have a tie rod mounted steering servo for cryin' out loud.

Though this be madness, yet there is method in 't William Shakespeare

Explain difference in berg offset and AX-10 offset wheels.

Can't I use a ax10 offset on a berg ??

Wow, didnt see you posted Tony.

Basically, a berg offset wheel is like whats used on the rear of a stampede, tmaxx, things like that. They set the hex deep into the wheel for it to slip over the A-arm to make it more narrow, or to align with the front end. On the berg, you want that hex deep in the wheel, so your truck remains narrow. Now, I know you have a losi, take those losi wheels and look at the hex. Its somewhat close to the edge of the wheel. Thats because the losi axles are narrow, and do not need the wheels to sit narrow at all like the bergs, because the berg axles are wide as heck.

Make sence? Kind of feels like i blabbed on about nothing

Okay. I am a noob. I admit it and I really want some input on a good chassis to start with. I have a set of axles from a clod that I would like to use.I would like some idea as to where to start. I have a super rooster esc I thought I coud use and 2 integy 55 turn motors. The thing is I want to get started to enjoy the hobby and not get discouraged. Thanks for any help.

Thanks, CTK. Those look like good suggestions. I appreciate the input.I'll be tapping you for more info if you don't mind. And if anybody else has any I would much appreciate. Thanks again CTK."thumbsup"

A little lost here. Have a berg, going to clock the axles 20deg. Have a clocked axle steering kit from cdw. In theory, lower links will stay the same length but how do I figure upper link length?? Don't have a wheelbase jig.

Clock your axle, mount your lowerlinks, mount your shocks, then push the front axle forward til the knuckles are sitting level with the ground, then make your upperlinks.

Sweet!! Any general measurement the links will grow? Such as on average, when axles are clocked 20deg, upper links were __mm longer?? If not I'll just dive in! Thanks colby!

Well, it all differs with your chassis. I made my links really long with jato ends, that way they would reach to the hole thats farthest back on my chassis, so my lipo would ziptie under them without no problems. Just go at it, and if you screw up you always got the stock position to go back to "thumbsup"
