Original Design (2009) - 2.2 and 1.9 dual stage foams

Leopards have a thicker sidewall is the reason to trim the inner foams. That's what Eddie told me. I guess it makes them a bit too stiff at regular width.
He can probably elborate more.

I know why they were trimmed you poopy-head, I was asking why the difference in size of trimming. He stated he trimmed 5/8s from the rear and only 1/4 from the front.

I tried these at full width and I fully agree that the inner was too wide. I didn't like how the foam acted on the rocks at all.

well then call me a monkey's uncle. I was hoping that there was some nuclear reasoning behind all of this. I need scientific equations guys.

Wide foam + Panther(Leopard) = ^stiff

Narrower foam + Panther(Leopard) = "thumbsup"

5/8" foam + Panther(Leopard) sidewall firmness < 1/4" foam + Panther(Leopard) sidewallfirmness

Does that help? :mrgreen::twisted::flipoff::lmao:

You guys are funny

I narrow the rear 5/8 because the rear is generally super lite weight. On my two bergs I run delrin rear wheels with no weight and my back end will drift around on super fast dig turns . 3S voltage and 35 turns motor will do that.

In the front though, I use aluminum wheels with one full wrap of 1/4 weight around the wheel. Since the front is weighted / heavier, it needs more support which is why I only remove 1/4 width from the front inner foam.

Again, that is for my two bergs which weigh in at 6 pound 6 ounces RTR.

Several sets have now been sold to the guys running Losi MOA's in the 5 pound range and custom bergs in the same weight range. Once I get more definitive answers from them, I will have good recommendations on what to do to for the ultra lite weight crawlers out there. "thumbsup"

Damn Eddie....I ordered them Yesterday and they were on my doorstep Today! Awesome! And thanks for the extra outer...you didn't have to include that one!

I'm going to check my mailbox right now !!!

Temperature in NC has definately dropped :|

Let's go see what this "hype" is all about.

I got mine today, too. I now have them in my medium compound Rovers...I need a set of softs for the winter, indoor series... Tomorrow is the last comp of our summer series, so I'll give them a full rundown. They already feel far better than the stock rover foams.

I ran my set in used Leopards at our Night Crawl (40 degrees)...best performing foams I've ever used.

Thanks for making these available. I'd trade all the foam in my foam box (new and used) for just another set!

I ran mine today at our club's indoor facility. I improved tremendously from the last comp there. I put them in my well used medium Rovers. They worked great. I won my class with a -7 and a 16 on the 2 courses.

Got my 2 sets in today. They are everything that has been said about them. I knew as soon as I opened the box and touched them they were gonna be the sh%t. I,ve got a collection of about every foam made, memory and non-memory. Time to thin the herd....

Can't wait to get them out on the rocks this coming up weekend.

Thanks for the fast shipping Eddie."thumbsup"

.... I am going to make some smaller 1.9 foams for my 1.9 Cobras and 1.9 Chisels and have them sent out for testing next week. I want to offer some options in all the foam sizing I offer, but it takes time and testing to get there. I will look into the 1.9 rok lox next week as well. Thank you for your interest and your question.

Any ETA on smaller 1.9 foams for the Rock Claw / Chisel sized MRC tires?

Thanks
Chris W
