I just about got the BTA..Little more time to work with it it'll be good.Getting the tie rod above the lower links was hell.

Hopefully I can get a good finish at the MWC..Would be nice to see my hard work pay off finally.

She is a sexy bi**h I know that..8).I am really pleased with this rig and how it has turned out.

Went up to Capen Park in Columbia MO today and done some crawling, trying to get some practice in before the MWC next weekend.

The rig was pulling some lines that I havent seen very many people make, and some lines that I have never seen pulled..I am so happy with this rig,it is very dialed in for sure..

Here are some pics from today...

This one was a nasty ledge with a big overhang...

Can you say sidehill..8)

These are from the waterfall climb as I call it..8)..Never seen anyone make this climb..Anyone who knows Capen knows how steep this grade is.
Chopper made it!!

Looks like a great place to crawl. Those climbs will probably be even easier with a little warmer rocks.

Good luck at the MWC!

Looking good Zack. I'm keen to hear what you learn at the challenge, and how you go.

Got a question about your shocks. I see you've still got them in the std position on the axle, and have your upper links mounted to the MOA mount. How are you stopping the shocks from hitting the upper links? Mine just clear, and that's with internal springs, external springs would hit. I want to invert the shocks, but they'll just interfere.

My spring only gets into the upper link a little, not enough to bother me or hinder performance.I do have about a 10mm limiter on all my shocks too so that helps too.

Yah I am excited to see where the Chopper will stand at the end of the MWC..

Perhaps I mounted my upper links a little higher on the MOA mount, hence the increased interference. Looks like a bit of out-boarding is required.

It might be because my uppers at the chassis are on the outside of the chassis, might manipulate the angle during flex enough to allow better clearance.

I outboarded my front shocks once...Needless to say it did't stay that way long..

My rears are outboarded though.

Same. But mine are longer.

Yeah, if I do flip the shocks and outboard them, I'll have to see what sort of interference is caused with the tyres at full lock. Because the spring is internal, it may not be such a problem.

You may get lucky and be able to outboard them since you run internal springs. The tire gets into the shock pretty good when you outboard them though..I didn't like what it done to the performance of my rig.Made it want to unload real easy in of cambers and caused easier roll over IMO.But then again you run a different spring and shock set up than I do,may work golden for you..

Well after always trying to keep up with Ashton i really wanted a berg.
BUT after reading this i might go the losi route for my next comp build.
I drove a stock one this weekend and liked it.
It will be nice to see both rigs run this coming weekend."thumbsup"

Looks awesome. Cant wait to see it.

Thanks RB.."thumbsup"

Yah I was gonna do the berg thing :mrgreen:, But I ended up with a losi on the bench instead.I am happy I did, this rig as it sits now just flat out works.I'm scared to death to change anything.

Overall the Losi has prooven itself as a contender in the shafty form for sure,I just set out to do that with the MOA..We'll see how that pans out this weekend I guess.

But the Losi is a good choice outside of berg and bully.Just takes a bit more work with the moa version.I have the tools though.8)

But anywho...See you friday."thumbsup"

The more I look at the pic,the more I am thinking you may be able to kinda help out with the interference by lowering the mounting hole on the front moa plate to the bottom corner.Looks like that may get your link down almost to the shock shaft and should free up some room.

Yeah, I think you're right. The rear clears much better, though I haven't tried flipping the shocks on the rear yet. I'm waiting on some rod ends so I can replace the crappy eyelets on the ends of the shock bodies with something able to handle more of an angle (al-la shock cap mod).
