Howdy all!

First off: big THANK YOU to all of you guys, for the awesome parts and advice!
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery "thumbsup"

After too much breaking of my Axial at my first few NorCal comps,
and PickleWagon only seeming to have Berg parts,
it became clear I needed to build a Berg.
Got her together just in time for the comp today--
driving with twin sticks is another story!

CDW Chump Chassis / Battery Tray / Lower Links
Upper links and body mounts and tons of help by PickleWagon
VP SLWs (600/225) / Rovers / Nova foams / Axial stub shafts
Front: RC-Innovations steering / VP knuckles
Rear: JeepinDoug NT lockouts / trimmed Axial knuckles
Twin FXRs, 45Ts
HiTec 7950TH
CC BEC
Twin-stick radio (Futaba 9CHPS)
Giant-assed receiver I got for free: takes up half the chassis

Paper Shredder to hide bills from wife: PRICELESS

All out-of-focus pics are copyright Apple iPhone!!!!

Shoop! Measure your uppers and lowers eye to eye! This rig has slightly modded chump sticks and under compression, such as new wb rule states, sits at 12.5 on the nose. Uppers are for 20 deg clock!

Definitely looking goog. The white paint is growing on me. I hae been crawling with a guy that did that to his lcc and it just looks smooth and clean.

Nice parts, looks to be a good build. It should do you well. Congrats on the completion.

Looking great I have a few set up tips for you. First thing I see is your shock locations move your shocks to the upper hole in the chassis it will plan the truck better on climbing. Second thing is your upper links try putting them in the center- center hole. Third thing is what length spacer are you running on the upper link mount you should run a 15mm.

You should be able to angle the servo and mount up to bring it level with the axle and not clocked so far downward

You cant because of the way you mount the upper links the servo arm will hit the link mount.

Nice build. I run the Chump with the Chump Sticks on my Berg V2's and the thing crawls incredibly. Very predictable. I think you will like it.

In regards to the servo you may look at milling down the inside of the driverside axle and slide the servo in between the Gearbox and axle. This lowers yours front CG and gain many more steering options.

WELCOME NEW CDW-CHUMP-BERG. LOOKS GOOD! IT'S A GREAT SET UP AND BCROFTS OR ROCKCAD WOULD KNOW ALL TO WELL."thumbsup" NICE TO SEE YOU AT G-TECH COMP. WAS THAT THE VIRGIN COMP WITH A BERG?

Umm, on behalf of my client, McLovin, I will gladly acting as his counsel will answer yes, not only was that the virgin comp but the 2nd time he drove the thing, and the 2nd crawl with a stick radio. Great to see you Pee Wee and I really think you should bring your new lid to the doctors and see if they can match your next cast, except for the mud.

link measurements

Yeah buddy-- Happiness is passing tech!

Link measurements, eye to eye, with Revo rod ends:
Upper Front: 114mm
Upper Rear: 116mm
Lower Front: 122mm
Lower Rear: 121mm

Third thing is what length spacer are you running on the upper link mount you should run a 15mm.

Thanks so much for all these tips! I might have to sneak to G-Tech
tomorrow at lunch and try them out :)

My upper link spacers are 13mm.
They are some janky nylon tubes I found in the nylon screw drawer at the
hardware store, and put M3 allthread through them. Looks like the tubes
might be too flimsy, the allthread appears to be bent. New 15mm spacers will have to be made! "thumbsup"

BTW I was a bit jealous of you guys' beefy upper link mount mods-
my servo placement and throw limitation is definitely an area for
improvement. Currently, the nut on the servo horn hits the servo case
and limits my right turns.. 125% EPA vs full 140% to the left.

Cheers,
McLovin

shocks

Oh yeah.. the shocks: Losis, borrowed from PickleWagon.
I need to buy some of my own, just can't decide which ones!

Totally dude, it crawls beyond awesome! Can't wait to learn how to drive it. :)

Don't get losi.........get integy 98mm shocks or traxxas big bores and use traxxas spring cups and retainers on either shock and also run losi springs on either shock. The integy will mount right up, the big bores just need a fuel line mount or bushing mod on 1 end.

is it just me, or the crappy computer im on at work... Is he running the inside rings on the slw's on the outside?
