Rally Accessories/Scenery

well. im not looking for crawler accessories. but if you guys can help me out to find out were to buy scenery and accessories for my 1/10 rally track, that would be awesome. i want things like banners, flags, podiums, ect.

the bridge looks like a mini golf bridge that i could easily deco up.

anything helps. links, tips, advice, ect.

so is someone at Ford or Rally America asking you to do up a scale track at the New Jersey Motorsports park for the rallycross events in th coming months?

im looking into this as well.. i just bought a rally delta lancier.

what you could do is print out the logos,on reg paper.
then take packing tape and sort of laminate it,for the banners and signs.
its what i do for license plates for my crawlers.

as far as the race borders,white/red saftey tape doubled over and stapled
to a wooden post or ziptied.

homedepot for the wooden post 3/4x3/4 should enough.

unless your doing pavement,then you could get some rubbermaid circle tops,screw them to the bottom of the post,and fill with rocks or sand.

*predrill your holes on small wood or it will split on ya.*

check grainger for the tape.

some stuff you may have to build by hand or check ebay in toys and hobbies,browse thru models,
r/r stuff , collectibles.. i found some really neat scale stuff just browsing.

Rally is just too cool, too bad it hasnt really caught on in the states. You also might be able to get some of the items you need from someone who deals in G-Scale outdoor trains. (Garden Trains). I was into that for a bit, and all of the real good bits and pieces are produced overseas.

No. G is the largest production scale


If you plan on building this outside, model train trees won't stand up to the elements. You are better off with varieties of real miniature bushes. Check out garden railroading sites and see what types of plants they use.

I'm also in the process of making my own 1/10 outdoor rally track.

And we also have an outdoor garden railway (G scale). We have a bunch of miniature plants and trees. I love the dwarf alberta spruce trees. I think you can buy them at Lowes.

Here are some pictures of my family's railway. Maybe you'll get some ideas for the rally track.
The first picture was taken a few years ago in the fall.
The last two were screen shots of a video, so they're not the best quality.

As for my rally track, I'm not too concerned with plants now. I might get some wood to make "guard rail" posts like seen in the video posted above.

watch the video,and look at the trees.
2yrs old. $5 a piece at home depot.
trim a lilbit @ 3 months,nothing major
just a snip here and there.

the ones i have,are the same size as when i bought them.
dig the hole the same size,as the plastic container.

Thanks! Yeah those trees are simple to plant and take care of and they add a lot of "scaleness" to your course.
It would be awesome to someday be able to go to r/c rally tracks in the US!

yeah it would be realy cool to see RC rally in the US. the only thing is is that you'll be made fun of for chasing the RC:roll:
