4PK Setups, Tips, Tricks and Help

I haven't heard of anyone running 70/30. You may check the deadband setting on the sidewinders. Follow the video that I have linked in the first post and see if you get through everything. You shouldn't have to touch the EPA's.

70/30 is a racing thing where reverse isn't needed. It gives a little bit more control of throttle speeds. With crawlers we typically like the trucks feeling the same in reverse as we do in forward so we will use 50/50.

This is one of the most informative threads on this entire forum, why is it not a sticky again?

Just wanted to say thanks again to Harley and everyone who helps out on here this thread is priceless. "thumbsup"

A member had asked for a picture of the Program Mix screens for the workaround for the 4PKS described in Post 1204. The majority of the setup is the same as Harley shows in his video the only difference is to swap which channels are mixed as illustrated in the pics below.

Below is the screen for the setup of Program Mix 1:

Below is the screen for the setup of Program Mix 2:

Please note the (On / Off) in parenthesis after the mode was a result of which mix was active at the time the menu was accessed and the pictures were taken.

Another vote to have this thread stickied! I couldn't pass up a 4pk for $369 from superiorhobbies.com. My LHS is insane, they still have it priced at $499. Can't support my LHS like that.

i just hope i did not f-up by buying the 4pks maybe i sould have just got the 4pk and would have saved myself a little bit of money BTW i got the 4pks from my LHS for 469.00 so thats not all that bad

:afro:

I just set up the 4PKS with dual mamba micros, bec direct to the servo and following Harley's video for 4pk(s) setup.

Everything works great. Thanks for the information in the thread and video's Harley. "thumbsup"

I'll try bbeaty's work around for the mixes asap. Thanks "thumbsup"

I should have gotten a 4pks along time ago.

Glad to hear it Shane!

Harley, can you please describe what the "Adjuster / ADJST" function does and how (and when) it's used? I've read the manual and can't quite get a grasp on it's purpose.

I was told that the 3pk could have a button for momentary dig when i let go its back in 4wd can it do this and how

With a single ESC and Punk dig I cannot immeditely recall a setup that would give you momentary dig. I will have to think if a mix could be used. If I think of something I'll let you know.

You can mix it. When I was playing with a LCC for a few weeks, the switch setup for the servo dig screwed me up. I used both mixes to make the button pushing similar to haw I have my dual ESC setup. It was a huge pain in the ass to setup, BTW.

I'm not 100% certain how the Punk operates, but if it is similar to a servo, you can indeed mix it.
