4x4 Dakar Rally Truck

Looks great. Articulation looks good and the wheels turned out nice. Is the back made from a mailbox?

I had to open up the cab wheelwells and reform the fenders to accommodate the new meats...

Body mock-up to determine front axle placement...waiting on the USPS to get my leaf-spring material to me before I can go any further (so far 10 days from NY to WI !):evil::evil:

The body turned out a little different style (shorter wheelbase), more similar to this:

..I'll probably use this paint scheme too, as I've already got the paints

They are off an Ertl John Deere "Monster Treads" truck.. $12.50 at walmart!

Unfortunately this project is on hold until I finish upgrading the *NEW* Fast Lane Rock Crawler ...

Hi,

Great build! I'm also a big fan of the dakar lorry's, having seen them in action several times. Acceleration is really impressive as the Ginaf you use as reference has 1000HP!

But what I wanted to ask, does anybody know if there are Lexan truck body's available is these scales? Would like the us 1.9 wheels. "thumbsup"

Hi,

Could you please tell me what the width of the Bruder cab is, your project looks great! Need to find myself a shop who sells those toy trucks "thumbsup"

No problem, will try some local shops to see if they have a Bruder truck. Also just find some info on the Bruder site, it says 6,9" whicht sound possible.
