key fob camera: which one?

I got mine about a year ago, so it's a basic one. Noticed they have a lot more choice with HD, etc. For the price the cheaper ones are, I'd say pick one up and give it a try.

Couple things I don't like about mine:

1. Charges through your computer and it's hard to tell when/if it's fully charged.
2. Date/time stamp can't be removed.

Other than that, its put up with lots of abuse on the trail, survived rollovers on to it, survived being splashed by mud/water, so I'm happy with it.

Video showing the quality.

Stang Killa, i've had a shit load of them that i bought to get flight footage.

I've found they are all pretty much the same electronics its only the firmware that changes.
I did have a website book marked that a guy bought all the different ones and compared them. Try doing a google search for mini DV camera and see what comes up.

Ecoli's right you cant remove the date stamp and be extremely careful when charging them.
They use a small lipo that doesnt have a peak charge cut off. I've had a few explode while charging.

EDIT: found that site for you Stang Killa. He goes right into the differences between the cameras. What issues you will have etc.

got my camera in. came with 4 gig card. man this thing is cool! appears to auto ajust to the surroundings really well.
but the little 10 second test movies appear to be 28 megs each. sheesh. thats gonna fill up the card in no time. is this normal?
i bought a #3. lens is just slightly crooked though. not that big of deal.

A GoPro HD isn't good enough? I looked over the site and see a bunch of cheapass little crappy cameras.

I know the GoPro isn't cheap, but if you want real quality...why settle for less.

Stang...we will need to see some "spy" pics of Audrey to verify any issues you seem to be having. "thumbsup" Waiting.:flipoff:

i just came across the kodak hd playsport seems to be a good camra oh and did i say its waterproof:mrgreen:

Bought it and took it back. Its an awsome camera that records good quality HD... but it makes MOV files (apple friendly) and thats not what I use. To convert the files to something I could use it takes F O R E V E R. THen I have to edit and render it. To much time for such little reward.
