I'm willing to risk it to but I might just try 6.8v to start and keep an eye on things, I'll post up my findings when it arrives. I'm going to be running this on a Honcho with some new 1.9 TSl SX tires with some lil novas and some good weight so we will see if I can fry it:twisted:

they may have a castle link out of the package that they can set it to whatever voltage you want it to output at, it takes like a minute to do.

it doesn't matter what esc. because you are either gonna pull the reciever power wire or I wire it directly to power servo rather than thru the rx

alright running my servo at 7v with dielectric grease inside and it is a beast now. I have only tested about 30 minutes or less crusing around my yard and whatnot but steering is allot quicker and haven't noticed any additional warmth compared to before. it is noticably faster and haven't had a real chance to compare the difference in torque yet.
like I said limited testing time so bump up the voltage at your own risk. but so far so good on mine. It really is a nice servo for 40 bucks."thumbsup"

Agreed, still running mine at 6V, but even with that it's a beast. No grease whatsoever, just stock at 6, and it is chowing up rocks. Spent 3+ days now with it. Must agree, awesome for the R400 it cost me. "thumbsup"

Just got my cms kit, servo and die electric grease in the mail so I'm wondering how your servo is holding up at that voltage and how much time have you got on it?

well I put 2+ HARD hours of wheeling on this thing today and no problems whatsoever. loving it. check the cool pics I got today. my truck is green honcho with black stripes and my brothers is flat green comanchee honcho

Thanks man, thought I'd take a picture of the servo since I had it all apart so for those wondering what the gear train looks like here it is, one thing to note is that there is actually a brass bushing in the top case for the shaft which is a big bonus as far as no slop developing, if you've owned a towerpro servo you know what I mean. Here's a couple action shots of me testing the servo at 7v as well as the new csm kit on the maiden run of my new honcho kit, man what a hell of a beast now that servo is, have no thoughts what so ever of upgrading it and I have a hitec 5955tg as well as a jr ds8711. I cant believe the value of this little bastard!!"thumbsup"

Thanks man, I really took my time in that one, its a tamiya silver with burnt orange pin strip on black, bed and soon to be installed light buckets are painted tamiya bright silver.

how are the super swampers working out. I have been more than impressed with this trucks capabilities and the grip of the flat irons that came with it. I love the look of the superswampers but hate to buy em and not like em as much as flat irons

They are the best upgrade to date, they are a really soft tire so they conform really well compared to the flat irons to the terrian they are going over. I do find that the foams that come with them are really soft and the sidewall on the swampers is thinner so there is a good amount of tire sag and with that comes a loss of clearance but the gain in traction is far more superior in terms of performance. My solution to this very minor problem was to get a hold of eddie from crawler innovations and I bought some lil nova 1.9 dual stage foams designed for this tire as thats what he is running and was really amazed too at how much better these tires are, the foams are supposed to fill the tire some more giving me the clearance back. I'll take a before and after shot of it when I get the foams in the mail. All in all do it and I 100% promise that between the looks and performance gain you wont even think about those flat irons again."thumbsup"

I'll put my 2 cents in on this servo
Put 2 in my RS10 after I killed the stockers and lovin them
Running 7oz in each front wheel and they handle it with on probs.
Get them wedged in someplace and if they can't move the wheels they move the truck...lol
Anyway....4 or 5 mo. and still going strong.
