how it going out there teampurple?
Meeting went well.
Our First Comp will be on April 16th (SAT) at 10:30 am @ THE DOME....(Hemet)
It will be a TEAM Comp.
cut off date for sign up will be April 13th (dring $ morning of event)
Fees $5 each (Pot (entry fees) will go to the Team that wins)
Team will be picked Saturday morning of event from a Hat
and Team start positions will also be picked from the hat
event details to follow:
This is a TEAM event so expect to do alot of TEAM work to get thru all the courses and tasks, there will be a Time limit per course depending on Tasks
Tasks that the Teams will have to perform:
NO helping your rigs by Team drivers (Hand of GOD) allowed, even in roll overs.
- Chain course (team rigs will have a 16" chain hooked between them and will have to drive through a course hooked together for best time)
- Abandon Vehicle recovery (ther will be a rig placed in a bad sitution and the Team will have to work together to recover it (timed)
- Team Course (Team members will have to work together to get from start fo finish) (Timed)
- Hill Climb (Team mates will have to help each other climb an obsticle (winch, pull, drive, drag, push, anything goes)
recovery will be performed by another team member and will have a penalty of 1 minute per time......so working together to get the rig back on its wheels is the way to go (winch, strap, push, ect) any attaching of straps, winches, ect must be perfomed while both rigs are not moving in any way drivers can only touch hooks and connecting points MUST not move/reposition rigs
This is a FUN Teamwork event. get to know each other and may the Best Team Win......Open to all...."thumbsup"
RCX was a blast...RCP had a great course set up and ran all of our rigs on it most of the day. RCP had a great display, wana give a thanks to Tekin for taking care of Melanie's 17.5 brushless motor on the spot, they swapped it out no questions asked, A++ support, also made good contacts with Proline and a few other vendors. the Dragsters were Awsome 100+ mph insane...all and all a great show....
Sorry so late:

Looks like you guys had a good crawl day. RCX was smaller than last year but still fun. Didn't find any good deals but a Hitech 7980th servo for $140. I went to buy a few winches from TGN and they wouldn't give any deals for buying 2-5 winches. That sucked I didn't want one anyways.![]()
Hello everybody! I have been into RC cars for a couple of years now and race an 1/8 MBX6 at Hemet and ARC on occasion. I have have become more and more interested in RC rock crawling since I saw the SCX10. I really enjoy RC racing. However, with my work schedule it is hard to get out and race with regularity. I'm looking for something that I can do that is somewhat popular and does not take an entire day to do. Hence rock crawling!
I live in Temecula and know a couple of guys who crawl in the hills by my house. Just wondered if this group still gets together and if so, could you share any insight on the SCX10? Thanks.
Rich
I noticed there wasn't very many deals this year, Which didn't surprise me because this year i had money to spend.
Yeah last year thay had realy good deals but I had no money![]()
It sucks, when you have no money deals all the time and when you have money no deals.

JJR, thanks for the invite. My first question for the group. is there an advantage to the SCX10 kit as opposed to the RTR? Building is not an issue. Just wondered if it is worth the time to build as opposed to the RTR. Thanks.
Rich
I would go with the SCX10 KIt as you get better parts. you loking for the Honcho or Dingo... most of us run 2.2 tires on our scalers as we go a little more extreme but some have the 1.9's and wheel awsome also.
Welcome Rich, hope you enjoy your stay. 2.2 tires are over rated, 1.9 are just fine.
