fed gov shutdown

ya i would think if its an existing clain it would carry on as its an insurance claim? but if the offices are closed than no new claims would go ahead, here unemployment is fed

That, I dont know for sure. My mom works for Social Security and they were told that since they are given the funds by the fed and the state is expected to distribute the money, therefore they are going to be open...

If they were to give in to the Dems over pennies, how can we expect them to stand tough against the Dems when the heavy work starts for next years budget?

When you go hunting, do you shoot everything that moves or save your ammo for the big game?

I'm going to be pissed if the Smithsonian museums are closed tomorrow. I guess I could go stand in front of the Capitol with a sign or something all day.

I tried to bribe them to get some shit done today, but he told me he didn't care if I choked her out.

Holy Crap

I didn't realise just how USC you guys are at the moment, our government is probably no better than your ( all greedy, self interested, self serving, corrupt bottom feeders) but they would NEVER attempt to pull that sort of shit here.

Wouldn't get away with it, there would be a no confidence vote in a heartbeat and the sitting party would have their collective arses thrown out of parliament faster than a one legged man in a nut kicking competition

damn fellas, Australia has very open immigration laws to skilled applicants, just sayin "thumbsup":lmao:

A guy at work said this today: "Ya, it's not very smart to stop paying the group of people that are trained to kill and are highly organized." :lmao:

so with the gov shutdown maybe we will finally be savin some money thanks demz

Don't think so, when the government shut down in 1995 it cost an extra billion-plus... I'm betting this one will cost us 10 billion... plus....

Not by my understanding. Once you have signed that contract and joined, you are in.

Did they force you to sign the contract, or was that voluntary?

Also please note, the pay will be restored including back pay once the fiscal spending issue is resolved.

you wouldn't be saying you're not a slave (to binary) if you left and got thrown in the clink for 18 months or so.

Signing a legal agreement that you voluntarily did removes the entire slavery option. The issue of desertion is clearly covered in the document...its not a surprise option.

So you just want to move the same fight to 2012 and meanwhile. So we can sit here this time next year in even worse fiscal shape and the same tired arguments?

Maybe some people have to miss some pay checks and will have to be caught up, that's life. I am in business for myself and actually have to plan ahead in this regards. No one guarantees my paycheck.

For all the people so worried about military pay, why don't you volunteer some of you discretionary funds to our friends and family in the military to help them through. Oh yeah, that's another person's problem in and not yours.

You make very valid points. I just want to see this solved, not stalled by a partisan fight over who's dick is bigger. Politicians have lost all respect and civility. I don't think they understand the pains of any issue. Why? Because they pick their own raises and even vote on them. They set up their own health care packages...and vote on them. Why would they want to feel the pain of their constituents they want to have it all like everyone else in America.

Quit eating the partisan crap and look at what we are facing. Sitting here playing stupid blame games instead of fixing the issues is not going to help.

I'm only showing both sides as the problem. You have to watch that Dezfan Republican lover. Both sides are in the wrong, but the media and republicans jump to push the problem to the Dems, not as the problem to our Nation and its people.

The Republicans offered a CR to fund the Military throughout the rest of the fiscal year(September). Barry refuses to sign it. It's the Democratic party refusing to pay our military personal.

Simple math proves the house and senate could pass the bill. Now Obama obviously can veto it. The Republicans from all reports I have found still managed to politic the CR bill with tons of fat and earmarks. Once again proving their (and I mean ALL POLITICIANS) inability to help their constituents for the common good of people.

Also please note, the pay will be restored including back pay once the fiscal spending issue is resolved.
Unless, of course, it is deemed that it is your branch of the federal government that should not make the cut....

...but the media and republicans jump to push the problem to the Dems, not as the problem to our Nation and its people
That's funny, earlier today I saw Reid on the news blaming the Repubs....

So i wonder if all my teachers will be getting paid?

But for those that don't know, a solution is near that will put our goverment in line, VOTE Donalad Trump for president. He'll fire everyone, lol. JK

All non essential government employees will be furlowed ie USDA. The essential will still be open ie FBI, CIA. The military will still be getting paid and have funding also until September unless an agreement is reached. I work right outside of DC so it is all the buzz around here.
military dose not get paid they only get half a pay check on there next payday!
