Future plans:

Make custom plate to move electronics to the rear.
Cut stock battery mounts to drop it down for more LCG
Custom made body mounts so there are no holes.
Custom cut my own aluminum links to get the WB JUST RIGHT!
Redo the custom light kit to put lights on body.
Cut the front honcho bumper to have a bull-bar w/lights.

More pics coming soon to show custom light kit. electronics plate should be done tomarrow along with droping the battery mounts. Might do the gas take mod.

This is the song I think of everytime I look at my truck:

Nice looking rig!"thumbsup" I like the way the rok loxs look on the stock axial beadlocks. You should get the Proline floor pan to hide all the electronic gear and to make it look more scale. Like what you have done so far.

looks great so far! (love me a chevy build!)

but you should take the bump stops out of the shocks and trim the bumper off the body, its got doubbe front bumpers right now and looks a little odd.

Truck looks good and you have some nice plans to get top performance.."thumbsup"

I agree, the tires look great with the wheels. Black ring looks sick.

Yeah the double front does look odd and unless you want to limit the shocks I would just take a knife and cut them off.
Good luck looking forward to the finished pics..:)

Update.

Alright been working on the Blazer all week ran into some issues with aluminum tubing.... cant find anymore lol.

First update, I got my Links made. used 1/4"x.035 aluminum tubing and 6/32 all thread with traxxas rod ends. Links are cut at just about 80mm lenght.

Next up is the rear body mount. I did a 2-4-1 deal here, I wanted t make an electonics tray and a body mount so this is what I came up with. I used 24g steel bent at a 90 degree. Valcroed the battery holder for the lights and Valcro on the back for the body. Drilled 2 Holes and mounted it to the Crossmember of the rear shocks.

Next up came the front body mount. This was a pain to figure out what to do. I am sure i will change it but I wanted to get it mounted. I used a bunch of washers from the Hardware store and krazy glued them together. I then glued a 5"x2" peice of 24g steel to the washers and put valcro on the top for the body.

Headlights and Taillights all in place. working. Ran the wire through the frame rails.

Thanks for all the comments guys!! Canadian... yes I do lol. I dont have to trim them much but yeah, Im going to just take a bit off the corners but other than that, Since im going to keep my bump stops in the shocks it dont rub on the upper fender at all.

Other things im gona work on is the front "bull bar" gotta trim that up, but keeping the lights and the center skid. Although alot of people think it looks funny? I think it looks fine and helps hide the servo... which i need to do something with lol possibly a hands bro servo mount or just paint it black.

Nice Blazer... Paint job looks great too... That's my dream trick in real life lol :D

Thanks. Yeah I love the eairly 80's chevy trucks, ALL OF THEM!
My brother has a 79 k5 blazer mud truck. Iv always had a thing for 2wd Short Box (454,700r... I can hear the motor and smell the tires)8)

The reason i went with this body is to NOT HAVE A TOYOTA OR JEEP!!!! lol

plus to move some of the electronics to the rear to distribute weight.

Get that F-ed over rebuilt dodge crap outta a chevy thread!!:flipoff:

i know i feel bad for bring a ford or dodge down to a chevy level, hell i feel almost bad enough to delete the post, but then i thought if i did that there wouldnt be anything worth looking at in this other than the info on the build :flipoff::lmao:
