newbie here... but,

I am really looking at your bent links and have asked this question and studied the flex a lot..... looks like to take full advantage of the links, even your bent links, you need to move the chassis side lower link mounts outward so the one link clears the driveshaft when at full flex. Right?

If so, you should make a "bolt in" link mount for the chassis side to move the links out. Basically buy your links (or any links really) and buy your mounts, grind/cut the chassis skid and mount your product up so the links are outboarded at the chassis.

Hope that makes sense.

Yeah, there is nothing you can do to avoid hitting the driveshaft. Straight, bent whatever, they all hit. My bent links actually have MORE clearance than stock or straight because they bend outwards closer to the chassis.

There are some things you could do to avoid the driveshaft like moving the lowers, putting another bend in the link, clock the trans etc,. I think by moving the link outward at the chassis (along with everything else I listed) will bring more cons than pros. If you bring the lower links out at the chassis it changes the link geometry and the way the suspension works. The stock geometry works really well so I wouldnt want to mess with it.

It took me a really, really long to understand or even try to do it but, limiting the shocks is a great performance gain. Not only will it help performance but it also stops the bent links from hitting the driveshaft.

High Clearance Skid Plate "thumbsup"

Titanium Lower Link Pins in the skid bracket (is there any weight savings there??)

Titanium shock shafts that are a hair larger O.D. so that our shocks stop leaking and are lighter and wear longer.

I have seen a few rigs with skinny driveshafts (trans to axle, shaft) not the molded plastic ones, they almost look like axle shafts, but on the trans side, seemed like a nice upgrade to keep the shafts from rubbing as much, anyone know what they are? thanks.

Like on this rig

they are the stock shafts on the losi night crawler. You will need the shafts, plus the cup adapters for them. That's what i'm running and i really like them.
