Titanium prototype chassis build

do you think a tierod from knuckle to knuckle would work better? i should have done a 7980 per end and been done but i went this route for some reason.

no they would still be linked together:oops:

id sell the four servos and buy two 7980s;-)
other wise you will continue to burn them out or at least over amp and over heat all the time

You could always use the Servo Synchronizer that Futaba sells. I had my dual servos setup perfectly on my truck. It allows VERY small adjustments of the servos...much less than your Tx or the splines on the horn.

First of all, your super looks great! The truck style inspired chassis looks so cool and different. Very nice and way to think out of the box"thumbsup".

that center tie rod is what got your 7950. theres no way in hell your gonna get those servos to move perfect in sync. even a .5mm difference would put the servo in a hell of a bind

This is true ONLY if you installed your servos without programming them first.

You need to buy a Hitec Programmer. Check this thread out:

Buy a Hitec programmer, set you dead band to 5, turn on your overload protection and set it to 30%. You will not have a servo fail. They might get hot and you still need to exercise common sense and turn them off when they get hot (if they do, just by setting the dead band wider will cut 25% of your heat right away).

Does the Futaba work with Hitec servos?

Damn--I am buying one "thumbsup"

I have not had any probs with my dual 7980s front and rear. I used the hitec programmer and just set one servo to I think around 3 or so. That has to do with the automatic center. So one side is a little bit more sloppy than the other.

You can PM InfectousRC here on rcc for details about their products.

I am a fellow WARCRC club member and friend of the nice gents who own and operate infectious RC. They are always busy making new stuff so send them a email and I am sure they can set you up. I have seen their chassis in action and they crawl great and hold up to a ton of abuse. In fact one of the co owners took first place last comp with the same chassis I belive. Also, they are a great group of guys and avid RC crawler fanatics. "thumbsup"
