on the Creeper wagon,,,,

Well pretty soon Ill have to start a new thread in here cuz I picked up 25 feet of 3/16" steel brakeline and did a test weld....freakin sick strong weld. Im gonna try to do a jig design so its repeatable...it wont be as inexpensive as an Integy Universal 2.2 tuber...but it will be square and have multiple mounting options for the links and shocks. Ive always wanted a tuber made the way I want...guess this is the best way...make it myself.

I had started a 1.9 scaler thread but decided against the direction it was going in favor of a 2.2 scale full caged two seat tuber...we'll see where it winds up.

I re-weighed my rig tonight...6.0 lbs even...

and for those that like numbers I weighed the Vulture XR chassis with the front and rear trusses, the BTL plate....this doesnt include hardware but the numbers are impressive either way....these items combined total...4.5oz...I mean hell the Vulture XR chassis and cab plates by themselves only weigh in at 2.5oz...Ill get a new weigh in with hardware soon.

I am sponsoring another event here in Colo. down at Palmer Park where the Sportsman Nats were supposed to be held....Tomorrow's event is the Extreme Team 2.2 Challenge....25 gates, 3 stages, off course challenges...should be a good day. Quite a few people are slated to show up and this is a one of a kind event so I should hav a lot of pics plus hopefully some video and a rock report on the trusses...that doesnt mean Im looking for a 10 foot fall to test them though...

SO NO MORE BRAT? I THOUGHT THAT WAS A COOL IDEA.

Yesterday's first ever Extreme Team 2.2 Challenge was a hella good time..even though...I blew the trans completely out of mine at gate 7 of the first stage...only had 33 gates to go in 3 more stages...rebuilt it thanks to Kurtus420's spare trans.( I almost didnt take the spare trans)

Derrek and I had a hell of time with mechanical failures yesterday...my blown tranny...and his 2 blown drive shafts made for a rough day...but hey we were there and gave it our best. I have to rework the rear upper links some more as I was also suffering bad TT...I mean back to stock Creeper kind of TT. Freakin sucked...Ill raise the rear uppers some more and that should do it.

The Trusses were flawless...saved my axles on at least four occaisions of bad hits and a 30 foot cartwheel down hill...but the 6' fall straight to the tires on a flat rock was the pucker moment for me...rig hit with a loud thud...and just drove away. If it wasnt for the trans/TT issues...my rig was flawless in my book.

Wrench-N-Test time.....!

Ive got some pics from the event that Ill post in the Colorado forum under the Extreme Team 2.2 Challenge thread...and couple Ill post here.

Introducing the new RMDW Paradox Axle Trusses (F.A.T.) for the front axle or steerable rear axle...

Here is the first two pics of the trusses...one short and one long...again these bolt to the axle at the screw for the C-hub and the F.A.T.'s use the top and bottom holes at the differential as well as incorporate the use of sublinks to tie the BTL plate to the truss and the axle housing....these are freakin STOUT!

Youll also notice they dont hang under the axle housing so they dont hang up when crawling....

Holy shneikies!

I have a buddy with a creeper who DESPERATELY needs these back and front trusses you're making. Can't wait till these are available, keeping my eyes peeled.

Sweat? or SWEET? Im glad you like it bro....its always cool to do something like working on a rig and have a good response to what you do.

SO...as I had stated before I started a scale build...bought some SCX10 frame rails from RCP and some 16 guage, 22 guage steel plate and made a custom welded skid plate and welded it to the frame rails...the Creeper trans bolts right in...I still have to finish the skid and cover the rest of the bottom of the trans...
