Herman Cain

And yet Barry was elected after spending 25+ years in Jeremiah Wrights church listing to him spew hate speach, anti semitism, and Black Liberation Theology and no one said boo.

So tired of the double standard.

I nearly voted republican in this last election. I was on board the McCain train. Then it stopped to pick up Mama Grizzly and I jumped off as fast as I could.

It is just disappointing to me that the group that displays and touts the American way the most has trouble finding a kick-ass candidate.

What I said was not intended to be anti-GOP. The left is on par just the same.

Plenty of people said boo, but the minute they did the media labeled them intolerant racist bigots.

Hate to say it, but if Cain looked and spoke like Romney he'd get elected in a heartbeat. Ever since the Nixon-Kennedy debate in 1960, how you look on TV is the most important thing about a candidate. Cain is a little rough around the edges, while Barry is slick as a used-car salesman. Remember all those water bottles?

Competent right-wingers tend to stay in business and make a shit ton of money. Compare Cain's resume to Obama's. What the fawk does a "community organizer" do, and how does a job like that qualify you to do anything except get arrested?

It wasn't that they said "boo", every president is booed in some capacity. Its that they did everything they could short of calling him the 'n' word.

Right wing extremists have made concessions for their presidents mistakes, saying that no one is perfect and that we must stand and respect the presidency, yet Barry has been rallied against hard since before he even took the oath.

All that has been accomplished is a widening of the divide.

I'm absolutlyy thrilled that our party DOESNT have candidates that thrill you:flip off:

That would mean something was wrong with our system, cuz we SHOULD be putting strict conservatives in there, not moderates like macain, hell palin is what made hime tolerable IMO:flipoff:

I agree, I respect McCain for his service to his country in the Armed Forces, but as for him being President, he is nothing more than a slower version of Barry.

And can someone explain to me why Sarah Palin is "crazy" and unqualified to be President. She did serve as a successful mayor, and a successful Governor. Other than being vilified and mocked by the traitorous embarrassment that is our Liberal media, she seems to be much more qualified than Obla'bla.

Just like Barry's Pastor, no one said boo about Barry's absolute lack of any kind executive experience, and yet...

OK, let's look at presidents past and present.

Washington, Adams, Madison, Jefferson: Military hero and framers of the Constitution. Not too long after them, we got into the pattern of promoting politicians from county commissioner to governor to senator to president. In other words, career politicians. We took a break with Grant (terrible) and Ike (popular but not much better), then got into the old groove til Saint Reagan came along. After Reagan, career politicians again, until LeBron Obama came up from one term in the senate.

Career politicians know how to do one thing: get elected.

I'd like to see every presidential candidate go through Army basic training. Make them crawl in the mud, hike 10 miles, the whole shebang. If nothing else it would weed out the whiners.

Putting extremists in charge does nothing but start shouting matches and fist fights with no resolution. Everybody gets pissed off and everyone goes home no better than they were when they showed up.

If you put moderates from both sides together, shit will get done without encroaching on our rights. They both understand what needs to be done and how to do it without trampling the constitution.

But now we've got hardliners from both the left and the right swinging for the fences and accepting nothing short of a home run. It does nothing but keep things at a standstill, and neither side will more level headed moderation for fear that they will lose ground on their ideology.

We have a two party system for a reason, and its not to have a pissing contest.

I liked McCain because he wasn't in the sensationalistic fray, nor did he put up with it. Remember when he yanked the mic out of the nutty old lady's hands? I loved that he did that.

To me it felt like Palin was stuck with McCain as an advertising ploy that failed. They didn't mesh, they didn't work well together. You could tell he wasn't happy about the arrangement. He went from being a passionate candidate to being a pissed off old man.

I voted for Gramps because their was no other option. Palin made him more palatable.

McCain can be great one minute and an embarrassment the next. He's a true establishment Republican, not a Conservative and therefor not my first choice.

The Republican party needs to pull their head out of their ass, quit trying to please the jackals in the Liberal media and nominate a Conservative candidate.

Give me a candidate who is more concerned with the nation as a whole and not whoring himself out for votes and I'll check the box next to their name.

I'm looking.

That said, I'd vote for any and all of the candidates on the Rep ticket over the embarrassment in the White House at this time.

I'd have to hold my nose w/ Romney but I would do it.

Cain is looking better to me.
