i'm fine with comps, if i can ever get a comp rig build finished...

i sure do like me a good gtg though.

Jason, you auto posting or something?
You have same post twice, an hr apart... or is that to really drive home the fact that you're fine with comps, if you can ever get a comp rig build finished...
but
you sure do like a good gtg?

odd... i came back to my comp after thinking i posted and there was a window with my post still in the reply stage. maybe i hit 'back' after i posted or something.

beef...

last night added full steel internals in the axial trans with steel outputs, supershafty topshaft mod for robinson slash steel spur/slipper. gonna run a tekin 3300kv pro4 on 3s. i want overkill...

if you want a super beef spur/slipper setup, i highly reco the supershafty mod. DAYUM.

lookin good man 8)

got a pic of that trans?

not opened up, but i'll take a pic of it sitting in the rig when i get home.

i still need to figure out my intermediate shaft from the trans to the transfer case. i trimed down a emaxx shaft substantially but i would prefer a dogbone/cup setup since i had to trim the shaft to the point where there is just about 1/4" of splines on the female and male ends. it seems like it'll work, but i dunno how thats going to hold up.

Very nice looking. Tell us more about it!

I'm running that SuperShafty Top Shaft with the Robinson spur/slipper and it is BEEFY! My 13T crawlmaster aint gonna hurt it, thats for sure.

More pics! You got a build thread or what!?

hey kreuger me and nick added some more jumps and tabletops at the BMX track yeterday and gave it a good test . let me know when you wanna go back there:ror: fixed the mud pit a little more , works great for the scalers.

no build thread... i've had horrible luck with those. either my photohost goes down and i lose all my postings or it doesnt get as many comments as the dude sticking a bunch of useless scale stuff on a komodo, and i get butt-hurt over it...

heres the supershafty mod installed on my zuk. as you can see it barely clears my custom chassis fwd motor mount setup. but it clears...

heres the intermediate shaft i mentioned. it seems pretty solid, but i'll only know once i put some 3s to that pro4... does anybody know of a SUPER short heavy duty shaft i could use, or point me in the right direction to a dogbone setup?

I hear ya... mine hasn't gotten that many comments; granted its more 'assembly' than build from scratch, but still I think its more than just slapping a bunch of parts onto a vehicle.

But this is looking great!! Really need to spend some time learning to braze as I love seeing your work, and have the need to try and do some of my own!

Just a teaser from my thread..

Nice work Jason. I like the motor mount & location...The flipped spur looks like it worked in your favor while coming up with that setup. shock mounts are cool too. Mad skillz homie.

Neil.. The 2 vids i tooked ended up lookin like ass, thats why i didnt post them.

Chris.. That some major lighting! Hell yeah. Very colorful to match the paint scheme. Lol

Yeah, it is mad skill work for sure! Just tighten those shocks down so they don't slip!!

Yeah, tell me about it... sorta went all out on it. I gotta say though that the Axial light buckets rule! The RPM? Total shit. Axial light grills snap on, the RPM ones you have to glue on... I went through 4 types of glue before I found one that seemed to work (and I'm not confident about it) with the RPM compound. I got all 5mm LEDs, only to actually read the RPM instructions and notice they are supposed to use 3mm LEDs (note, the Axial stuff uses 5mm LEDs), but boring out the bucket to accept the 5mm LED worked out fine.

But now I got wires running all over creation. :|

Was going to do the same for the Honcho, but at least I can split the electronics into a front (receiver/winch controller) and rear (BEC/light controller).

With the Wraith, I'm not sure where else to put something as the servo winch pretty much takes up room in the front, and the electronics box is pretty much stuffed. Would like to redo it though, and integrate the various servo plugs into the box itself. Probably make wiring a bit easier, as I can create custom length wires (bought like 100 servo plugs and 50' of servo wire!) to go to specific places I need them too. That way I can unplug the box if I need to, which I can't really right now without undoing some of the wiring!
