Any one built a roll cage using the stock Maxx chassis?

Yea, i kind of regret not lowering the front body mount and cutting the front as short as i did, but i might change that some how one day. But thanx for the kind words Snoop! I hope to get the chassis atleast done this holiday weekend since i`ll have a lot of time to finish it. Any more suggestions/ideas are definitely welcomed!

I'll make suer you get a whooping if you slack off :lmao: jk

Dude, between working on this, working on another 2.2 tuber build and putting in some BIG time hours at work, im already getting the whoopin lol hahahahahahahahahahaha :lmao:

Alright, finally got some work done on my VooDoo Spider (figured it was a cool name for this project lol) I thinking the chassis is pretty much 98% done. I might add a couple more braces and what not, but i think the overall look is there, so im seriously thinking about just cleaning up the chassis and all the brazed joints and paint it a flat black. I just hope the motors clear the top bars lol :lmao:

Actually they are on right. I just havent turned them backwards since i dont have the truck running yet. Ive read that if you flip the direction of the tires you`ll get better traction when you go rock crawling with these trucks. Although i do plan on changing the tires and wheels out for some 40 series wheels and tires maybe. Now heres a question ive been debating with myself......there are small spacers on the shocks to stiffen up the springs a little bit, should i pull those spacers out to make the suspension more softer for crawling? I really dont want to mess with the fluid itself since the shocks are working smoothly.

I've read that removing the inner shock from each corner in best for rockcrawling.. "thumbsup"
If the E-Maxx still has 2nd gear remove that as well...
theres a how to some where...

.

You E-Maxx needs all 8 springs or it will bottom out ..especially with the extra weight of that cage
However
If you use stiffer springs you only need 4 shocks.
I use a 1/8th front buggy shock on mine, you can use rear buggy or F/R truggy shocks

The spacers don't soften or stiffen the springs, they only raise or lower the ride hight

Ok, i`ll look into putting some 1/8th scale buggy shocks on it. I know about the trans mod for the Emaxxs. I might keep the second gear though, since this will be a multipurpose type of vehicle. Sort of a go any where and do anything (hopefully) type of truck. But the shock idea...didnt really know about that.....thanks for the tip :) Just got to sell my Tmaxx and i think im back in business with this truck.
