Yea, somehow I get the feeling we're going to need to carry a ton of those plastic chassis ground effects pieces at work. The arms are just Slash 4x4 arms so we've got plenty of those from them and RPM at least. Chane out to the bearing carriers off of this and I'll bet those drive shafts will fit the majority of their smaller "1/10 scale" line up too. Don't know of many places around me where one of these could safely be unleashed, too many people in the decent parking lots and most of the unused lots are more suitable for monster trucks no smaller than a Pede............although the way things are going at the strip mall my store has been in, give it a year and I probably wouldn't have to worry about it, there's only 3 stores left in there and who knows how long before they give up and move out too.

If I had the cash and a place to run it, I'd be all over this "R/C supercar" in a heartbeat. Very cool. "thumbsup"

Now if they could just take lessons from Axial on how to come up with a "original" idea that people actually want..:flipoff:

I quit buying traxxas a long time ago, they change hubs, a little wider arms, servo's..etc anything to change the name a little and put yours that you bought 6mths ago out of date and charge you even more money.. :x

Look at the stampede, cheap fun and anybody could get it..now carrying the MJ bodies they are over $200...WTF??? You used to buy a stampede kit for $89 and its the same identicle thing except for the plastic formula..

About the only thing to run this against is the old schumacher 1/7th onroad..:lmao:
Dont even get me started on traxxas..:x There are two time lines in rc history.. BTM and ATM..

100 mph? Boring
1/7th scale? What?
On road only? Super boring?
$1099? Ridiculous

There is nothing in this release I find the least bit exciting besides iPhone/iPod telemetry. And that should have been android compatible as well. These are just opinions, but I was actually hoping to want a traxxas product again, and this did not fit the bill for me.

Exactly my thoughts too. "thumbsup"

i agree that this probubly will not end up in my collection - but rumor mill is that there are several more "new" rigs that will be released over the upcoming months.

I think I need to get my grubby paws on one of these, slap some drift tires on it and it should be a lot of fun sliding around.

The only thing I am interested in is that new radio system, looking at the specs on their site, it shows that you can save different profiles and even has one screenshot showing a "rock crawling" saved profile... that gives me a tinge of hope... not much... but a bit

On a semi-related note... say you are using that system, bolting around a parking lot at top speed with your iphone plugged into the tx, and you get a phone call... I just see this ending terribly...

I think the car itself is cool (likely will not own one), I am interested to see what can be done with that radio system.
