Axial AX30432 XR10 Stage 1 aluminum upgrade kit vs Vanquish Products offerings for the lockouts, c-hub & steering knuckles... is there a difference? Quality wise?

I've seen the Axial kit for $100... the VP runs $130

Vp knuckles are zero ackerman ........ Axial isnt.

Other then that I would say both are quality products.

Like harley said, if you go VP, you either need to narrow stock wheels or by new ones. I personally say, buy VP and get new wheels, but if not in budget go Axial. Or wait till you have more $$...

No freaking way, way too wide and introduces too much scrub steer.

Bit of a silly statement really as wheel wideners come in various lengths.
PLUS it only takes a min or 2 with a grinder to customise them to the exact track width you want.

I'm running 180mm track width up front right now (to the inside of the wheels).
To put that into context VP give 173mm (inside wheel) track width for the 350 hubs.

So if your running 350+ hubs there is a good chance your track width is wider than mine ;-)

No idea what you mean by "scrub steer" did you mean "scrub radius" or "SAI" if not please explain.

Cheers
Mark

Is the Vanquish Axial Scx10 stage 1 kit worth the money? How much does the steering improve over stock? I can't find any before and after reviews/videos anywhere.

For scx info, check the scx thread..

I found the axial aluminum chubs and high steer knuckles to be plenty. Not that I think it costs much less then VP.
I now have VP stage 1, 8° chubs and knuckles on it and its only maxed out by the vvd's.
Which was the same for the axial high steer knuckles. They were only maxed out by the cvds..

If you meant xr stage 1 kit. Its not only the improved steering but also the aftermarket that goes with them. Most knuckle weights, steering arms, etc are made to work with VP knuckles.
