I think I have the Rock Rider sorted... Christmas eve, I shortend the WB to 14.25" and then ran it. The dig servo was shorting so yesterday I removed the dig and added all Robinson Racing gears to the trans. I had to extend the WB back out to 14.625" because once the dig was gone, I had to switch from an AX MIP to the Summit MIP. I was thinking about cutting the Summit MIP down a .25" but I really hate to cut those things.

I'll see how it does in this configuration.

Last night I started thinking about leaving Buxom Melons a C3 (w AX10 axles) for the G6 runs and running Hera as a C3 (w Wraith axles) too but only as a TTC rig.
I'm really liking Melons as is and I'm having a hard time with the idea of taking her back down to a C2.

Any ideas on what to do with a Venom Safari?

Who has some idea's on cool & innovative parts to machine? I'm looking to take on a project to get some custom parts on our rigs! What do you guys think?

not innovative, but...

a winch hook that fits around a 3/16 piece of tube.

or a highlift jack.

steering wheel

ammo box

That might not be a bad plan.

Try and sell it? :P

Yea.. I dont know much about the venom creeper but, Im gettin the feeling you should sell it on ebay while its still new & worth more than nothing.

And, Thanks for the machine work idea's guys. Im trying to come up with something more (unique, innovative, one-off, funtional, custom, rare, useful, desirable) rather than reverse engineering something that already exists and copying it. Theres no fun it that. I haven't come up with much either which is probably why I havent made many R/C parts yet.

I did have an idea about making a long ax10 aluminum lockout and a long aluminum c-hub to extend one side of a ax10 axle and use a longer axle inside. Along with a different offset 4link truss and a way to relocate shock mounts.
Which means, widened ax10 axle with offset pumpkin. I thought that would be cool & fit the criteria. Hmm.

So far.. I'm diggin' the 3/16" Hoopty Hook the most.8)

Well, It fits what kind of stuff im lookin to make the most anyways..

How about a dashboard plate to fit the Dinky/Pardonmynpoob/etc Hilux interiors with the gauge bexels machined in. It would be 2 for speedo/tach and 2 smaller ones for Volts and Oil. I really hate how bad the stick on bezels work (When you can find them) and a machined piece of aluminium would be killer.

A couple others:

- A nice Truck tool box that would work in the drop beds or truggys and hold a 3S battery.
- An electronics try for the front of an SCX10 that bolts to the stock cross member. The extra weight would be nice and the rigidity would help.

And I forgot the other one I was thinking of. But I do second the Hoopty Hook, great idea,
