Our Polar Series is not being run by the R.E.C.O.N. G6 rules, it is basically a timed trail run with standard SORRCA points and penalties.

We will probably start a TTC series in the spring and one or more R.E.C.O.N. G6's in the summer.

As a club we can adjust rules as we seam fair. But I thought we where using the rules? I would rather follow the rules as I do hope to the Col. this summer I am pretty sure there will be a large scale event there.

HOpe it's Palmer or Red Rock. 8)

As soon as Johnny asked the question after he saw the specs on Pro-Lines site, I IMMEDIATELY stated I was removing them and and would run C3 on TSLs until i got some 1.9s to run on. That was on page 65, post 1292. Can't be much clearer than that.

You also followed that with post 1297 stating that the Flatirons were 4.5" and referencing a Tire Size Chart - http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/tires-wheels/277011-scale-tire-size-charts.html

No one is trying to get around anything. My truck was legal the last time I ran it in competition with TSLs and will be legal Sunday on 1.9s.
 
I feel if we don't follow the rules this will just become a on going issues.

It's spell out clear, I don't agree with all but I didn't make them.
 
How about we run our track width as wide as a commonly used body? If somebody has a narrow body, they can run the track width as wide as the guy with the wide body even if it means that the tires stick out. I think thats fair as long as its a body that is commonly used.
I dont think people are going to get carried away with this one.
 
I think Jason's point is valid. If we took his body off his Zuk and put my Taco body on it, his tires would be tucked partly under the body. So if we enforce it, we are saying you can't run a Samuri body?

I don't know Jason, I agree with you, but what if you put a set of Dingo flares on it like I ran on my D90?

I really am tired of arguing about the ****ing rules. I know your truck was designed to run as it is, just like my Taco was designed to run on Flatirons. My footprint is going to be all ****ed up and I imagine that the Taco will be on it's roof most of the time. At least mt IRoks are the same height as the Flatirons actual size, just the width is off. Not sure about the off set on my wheels either, since I am giving up 1/2 inch width, they may not sit under my fenders either. I will know Friday, if they don't then I am done until I can build a new Class 2.
 
The stupid body vs. tire sticking out thing is bullshat... everyones truck that has already been running should still be legal. we're all practically running the same couple of different axles, right? They are all similar widths, right? most wheel offsets are similar for these rigs, right?
That leaves bodies.. You mean to tell me that this has come down to what bodies were allowed to run? Thats bullshat.

and how long has Neil been running the taco with the 2.2 flatirons? I think its a bit late to say that he cant run that combo. Thats bullshat. they changed the tire and changed the size on the website. He's running vintage, old, dryrotted, flatspotted tires.. just let him! thats bullshat! :lmao:

I did not think anyone was arguing?

Only reason I noticed this rule was my Scrambler was a pinch wider then the body. I wanted it that way looks cooler to me.

I plan on following the 2012 SORCCA to the best I can.

you guys can do as you will.

mine is barely legal just by flopping the cac wheel offset.

ill follow the rules as they are stated, but i still feel a yota or honcho build has the advantage over some of the skinnier bodies that i consider just as scale.
