That's a nice looking Mog Neil! It's gonna be 6x6?
Will you have to remove/redo the rear tube work?

Nope, sorry I guess that was a bit confusing. I have all the parts to build a 6X6 except the body and doing the tube work. That was planned to be a Mog, but after seeing Dez's, I decided to look for a project. Brian showed me the one he bought and I bid on it not realizing he was too. He and I had both looked at Rocksolo's and really liked it but he was too high. I really didn't want a 5th truck so we worked a deal to part it out. When you see the tube work, he did a great job and was innovative in his approach to the bumpers and bed. So he kept his axles, tranny, chassis and electronics, I stripped the Taco and here we go.

On the 6X6, I am looking for a scratch build to do, something like a 1925 Ford Model TT C-Cab. Maybe like this

Better post it, we got some carpet baggers here. I almost got Brian's Mog out from under him. Lol, he wanted me to look at it, but forgot to mention he was thinking of buying it.

Just got back from the bar and had a confirmation pm waiting from WarPig... it'll be legal! DL and I have started on the "design phase".
My new C2:

I believe this is a 36. The roof line is rounded. I'm just happy Parma makes a 34, close enough. I've wanted to use this body since I first saw it.
I learned to drive and tinker on my grandpa's 36 Ford. "thumbsup"

I was reading the rules seam that we should be taking scale points of per course?

I think you may be right... and its 50% for a 10 gate course; so does that mean we should use 100% for 20 gate course? Or 25%? Also scale points don't count towards a DNS.

how is that legal?... not that i really care, but it certainly looks like your wheels will be waaay outside the doors.

i might class 3 the damn zuk and start another c2... looking at the mogs... :flipoff:

Mog it up baby.

I do have a spare body you can use to work out a design.

who makes a hardbody mog thats wide enough to use a decent axle setup?

i'm not being a copycat, but damn it sure looks cool and simple to braze a neat little exo cage.

Things that came up at this weekends event.

Winching: We where talking that for winching it is OK to use a foot as our mounting position. If feel this is fair because a foot is stationary. Just no hand, hand can help with the winching. "Can pull"

Time Out: Since we set up a standard of 20 gates we where talking that there should be a time out. I heard 10:00 min? Sounds good to me. I problem is some people have slower motors. 10:00 min's = 30 sec. per gate.

Scale points: I have been looking at the rules and some other clubs. It seams that scale point should be deducted per course. I read you do get the point for a DNF but not a DNS

Boundary: I feel those place where we need to have a out of bounds. two locations people where not using the directed course.

Please let's find a final answer for these questions

Thanks

Na every one set up course different. Some use 10 we use 20. I think 50% is fair per course.

War Pig said the rear of the cab/doors is 5.75"
The axle measures just under 6" between the tires.
We will have to push the body out a little at the base. ;-)

BLARGH!! i need to finish my damn zuk and update my highlift and put ar60s on lemonade and build my other zukie class1 before i go off dreaming of future builds.

do NOT let me start a damn mog without finishing the crap i just listed.

Haha.. I know man. I want to start building a my new chassis too! I want to do a C3 chassis using the dynamic concepts bronco body. You heard it here! Nobody steal my idea!;-)
