NIRC. Chit Chat

Man, sometimes you just have to walk away from these things. Spent the day working, the evening at the Hospital visiting the wife and when I got home, decided to do a little to get started on the Mog. Started with a rebuild of the rear axle using the Highland Crawlers XHD Lockers. Got it all put back together and when I spun it, there was grinding and the catching in the axle. so I tear it back down, looking all around it, checking the locker and bearings then notice that there are no bearings on the locked, I left them off. SO put the bearings in, re-assembled and tested the axle then quit. Now I will have a beer and watch the tube and see if my mind works better tomorrow.
 
I ordered some 5mm Oil Hardened 01 Tool Steel.. I picked up a used GCM transfercase that someone drilled the shafts on so, Im going to make some new shafts. Anyone need some? I can make different lengths, or drill for set screw.. Whatever.
 
I don't, but I will have to get you my R2D tranny and see if you can make them for that one too. It is a good tranny and going in my C3 6X6, but the outputs are pretty mild steel.

Funny, no one want's to buy the Taco, but I listed it in the Trade section and the PMs are coming like gangbusters. 3 of them wanted an outright buy price.

So, anybody need Wraith axles andVP 2.2 SSZ 11's? Or a Hilux Tuber? those are the bast offers so far.

I am looking for 3 more. I think I have them in that I have 2 figures and Chris .xls only allows for one. The rule says:

- Realistic scale human figures: full (knees up) -3, part -2 (torso up) - Points awarded for up to 2 figures, and only if accompanied by an interior.

So I should get 6 instead of 3, that makes it 50.
