Doomsday Preppers

I have always been a preper I guess.

1st off my biggest fear is weather, wind, tornados, hail and lightning.. most deaths in tornados is from debri....so I have a dot full face for everyone in the family in the closet, it would also suck to die from heavy hail or debri while accessing a shelter...helmets are cheap and easy to add to your stash.

But right after 911 I added full chemical warfare suits to our stash...not just the bdu;s, full setup from head to toe.
also have carbon sacks for wrapping perishable goods.

next on my list is kevlar, it would be nice to insure our vitals stay protected in a sever storm.

X's 2.... That's my worst fear is tornadoes we already had one touch down less than a mile from my house and if this year is anything like last there's gonna be a lot of sleepless nights.. I'm actually in the process of getting a underground storm shelter built.. I'm saving for it now.. But after watching these prepper shows it may be cheaper to use a cargo trailer or school bus shell underground. I can do my own carpentry work and electrical work. I also think that would be a awesome spot to have a man cave lol just bunker up and hide from the wifey and kids. Install a big screen and a work bench. Sit down there and work on rc's and watching porn.. Hahaha

I dont watch this show. But Ive been hearing alot of talk lately about how quickly the world as we know it could go all bad(not really related example but, Obama actually made it into office lol). So Ive been giving some thought as to how far a "sensible" person should go to be prepared just in case.

Imagine if we lived in a country that wasn't structured around a political divide to take advantage of the difference in opinions in order to find compromises which ensure the long term stability and survival of our country. Anyway, who wants that single payer system? :flipoff:

im a closet prepper i guess and since the show my gf has started to understand better what it is ive been doing since i left the marines. i keep a stock pile of mre's, full sets of camo in various paterns, guilly suit, full molly gear setup with everything i could use to survive. i also have 2 ar15 m4 2 ak47 several 9mm a 1911 cuz you never know when u will need real stoping power plus a fully set up pierson spoiler compoud bow to keep things quiet. im saving right now for a duece to set up (the one on the show was sick with the living quater style box never thought to make a camper out of one lol)

I have considered my cheapest way to get a shelter..

a small conex buried..they are water tight and then fab a entry/stairway

but I need an above ground storm shelter now...something wheelchair friendly.
I have witnessed the devistation of many tornados and huricans...one thing is always left standing when the rest of the town is leveled..
For whatever reason, weight, shape, ect..concrete grain silos are never leveled, they stay unscaved...so my above ground shelter will be of a simulare design.

In an effort to move beyond my Airsoft weaponry, I picked up this gem today. I think it should do the trick.

I've seen that also but I've never seen the path of a f4 or f5 I don't think anything will stand up to that power above ground.. What is this conex you speak of?

A "tactical" flintlock pistol. Its what mall ninjas carried in the 19th century.:lmao:

The weather related disasters I see make me glad I live in the boring old NE where such things are very very rare.

I was going to get this, but I already have a stockpile of spoons.

I used to have one of those. The keys really got in the way and threw off the balance of the weapon. I sold it and bought a tactical machete with a rail."thumbsup"

Really. Did you go with laser or holographic sights?

All the more reason to be a hunter and/or fisherman... I'm like rockhard, I have a stash for severe weather that doubles as zombie kit

I plan to do just like this guy does:

I find this show hilarious. The people on it are half wits at best.

And they ALL forget their tin foil hats.

I need to quit watching this show. Im starting to become obsesed.... though I havent started to prep.

So what does everyone think will be te couse of a "DoomsDay"?

judging from history, I would say that a nuclear meltdown is the most likely doomsday scenario.

considering the russians and the japs have each experianced thier own doomsdays
