Did you guys find a good spot for us to run?

We found some interesting spots to fart around. As to a "good comp spot" not really. Jason had some good ideas for things to do, and we thought bringing the trailer would be fun to do too.

Btw, Steve never showed up.

There was actually kind of a cool spot right next to the parking lot where they said we could set up our tents. You might want to bring some rubber boots though. There's a number of spots, they're kinda all spread out. We didn't find a Roselle or anything but hey, this is as much for the camping as anything. The four wheeling wasn't so bad either! A stock 4Runner can get through there as long as it doesn't rain a ton before the weekend. I asked a guy that worked there about bringing beer into the area for camping and he said as long as we kinda hide it and only drink it late in the day when we're not going to be driving back into the park it wouldn't matter.

I should say thanks to Trey too for driving me around!

Ha, no biggie, it's more fun with a passenger, someone to BS with. "thumbsup"

Ok, we will need to talk to Steve and see if we can get an area locked down for us. Maybe Jason can make some suggestions.

There's actually a run down RC race track adjacent to the parking lot. We need to tell them to find us a camp spot right there. It's out of the way. It sound like it's going to be a busy weekend. If we get tired of crawling we can roll through the trails and see how the comp is going!

Anybody ever tried the 2.0 CAC Soft Eight wheels? Was wondering if the need to be glued or are they tight enough to run without glue? I want something a little different but not enough to pay 120 for.

If not, I will probably go Steelies.

A go fast track with jumps and curves?

Sounds good!
I assume we can have a camp fire?
This is going to be fun!

kinda sucks to flop over... i lost a couple wrenches and about 6 bucks in change. water temp and gas gauges dont work.. rig smoked for awhile but after i washed it out you cant even tell it was flopped besides the mud line on the headliner.

buggered up tiny tims rear tube bed again. there are monster hills... gonna just commit and braze all cage pieces together and to the frame.

I have these things you can use to be different. Just bolt them to your old style 1.9 steelies. They are delrin. They are like those aluminum ones I was running.
Be a little different on the cheap.

Those look nice, but I went with some 8 shooters. I do plan to order a set of steelies for another set of tires, so if you want to sell them, I will buy them.

They would look nice with these,

It's usable. It's too small for my revo. Yeah, it's perfect for a mini trophy truck. "thumbsup"

Well stuff like the eRevo, etc. there is a couple of big berms up on top with some whoops that could be fun for awhile.

Plenty of hills to run the FOFF up; or at least try. :)

couple hours at the car wash...

power washed everything inside and out. definitely need to strap EVERYTHING down from now on.

by the way, the water/mud down there is insanely rust making for whatever reason. so prep your rigs metallic bits with wd40 or corx.

Hellz yeah. So, it she gonna go camping or is she having muddy nightmares?

So, in conclusion.. There wont be a problem with any 4x4 vehicle getting to where we need to be?

I'm kinda relying on you trip planners/scouters to make sure that this trip is not gonna be a flop. As long as we have somewhere to setup camp and chill.. and a place to play with our toys, I'm good.
I'm not so much worried about how cool of terrain is there.. I know it'll be fun with other people there no matter the terrain. Then Have a fire, couple beers, you know.

Do you think the dog is a good idea or no?

Yeah you should be able to get through most of the park as long as we don't get a bunch of rain before the weekend. I bottomed out maybe once the whole day and we can probably avoid that area.

Other people had dogs with them, the dog will be fine. As long as we keep the beers on the DL, we should be okay.

We're not going to be 100% entertained the entire day. There were some times yesterday when we were just sitting around asking each other what we should do next...that's when you relax though!
