Jeremy's Sporty

Well, the flying fun is over....

Some knuckle weights showed up from Tomy yesterday and I got them installed:

This truck did quite well at our state finals yesterday. I took 4th place with it....which is not too bad considering after course 1 my ESC fawked up and I didnt have the option of reverse. I still managed to take the low score on one of the hardest courses despite the ESC issue.

A new ESC is getting ready to be installed along with a few other upgrades. "thumbsup"

2:24 is a hoax... that is not possible:mrgreen:

Wrong....

Yeah....michael's not that good at editing....yet. :flipoff:

Congrats on the Texas finals 4th place finish in sporty, and the 1st place Pro spot, and the 3rd place 1.9, and the 1st in Super, and 1st overall! "thumbsup"

Wish I could have made it, looks like you guys had a great time!

Ha...thanks. Yeah, it was a fun weekend. "thumbsup"

Oh, and we were even sorta nice to the Okies...

When I saw the servo/electronics plate and link mount offered with the Ringer Chassis by Evil Crawler Designs, I knew that I needed one for my sporty. I drilled two new holes to match the GC3A geometry and bolted it up:

You can see that it sits nice and low between the upper links:

I also decided to add a CF Batwing!

Just a few minutes with a dremmel and belt sander and I had this electronics plate made up.

It seems to fit nicely:

The ESC is under the driver side:

The Rx is under the passenger side:

And the steering still tucks in nicely:

I dremmeled down the posts the thickness of the plate and moved the upper up a tad at the axle to keep the geometry the same and the servo in the same position. All I have left to do is solder on a deans to the ESC and hook up the BEC and everything should be ready. I also installed a new ESC so we'll see if that took care of my "no reverse" issue that I was having at our state finals.

Thanks Jim! That was certainly the goal with this project. Once I saw how Michael had his electronics mounted, I knew that mine needed an update. "thumbsup"
