2 day Trail event for scalers in Marseilles, IL

Man you guys got me thinking about going more and more. It would be my first time out with other crawler/ scaler guys for some type of event. I've done plenty of races but anything slows a big minority. I'll have to see how well I can get around on my broken foot by then. You would be surprised how well you can crutch around when your determined.

You'll be able to get around fine, we're not going anywhere too tough for crutches. This place is a little more tame than our other spots. Neil just had knee surgery and he's planning to go. This trip is a big fun run!

That's good to hear. Kinda like a double edge sword. I broke my 5th metatarsal in TWO different places. Here's a few pics. Couple 1-2 hr after and the other 3 days later. Swelling just won't go down. Course I can't just lay around the house all day either.

25 years and the first bone I broke. 26 years June 4.

Well only one big foot really. Hurts like a freaking clamp is on it. Very different kind of pain. This ain't a thread for posting my Fawked up foot all over. The deep purples and bruising started today. I bet I'll be able to throw a little weight on there by Friday.

Jason, can you give me an used of where you guys want to run so I can talk to Steve?

Well not out front in the so-called "rock pile" in the parking lot; supposedly some other rc crawlers started that but its weak sauce.

Somewhere that is accessible in the "skill level 1" area of the park.

the one place we all agreed on that is close to parking and all that is right around the skill level one atv trail and the river area around it leading up to the zipline that runs across the parking lot.

Ok, I will call him this morning.

For lodging, are you guys camping at Papa Murphs? I was going to get a room at the Hliday Inn Express, but I am thinking to be closer to the Campground, I may just stay at the Park Lodge.

Is the parking lot at the Cliff's something that I can drive my wife's Altima in without worring about bottoming out. Not really an off road capable vehicle with its 4" ground clearance.

we took my car to Michigan 2 weekends ago and now my hood is all stone chipped

EDIT: I'm bringing a car cover
