Anyone else sick of Spektrum?

Why are there servo leads on your esc?

All i had was spare servo leads when the esc lead got fray'd, i figured a servo lead might work, but the strand count must of been causing some glitches so i asked tekin if they could replace the servo leads with esc leads...the said their must experienced tech can't do it.

I wonder if tekin can refill their fxr's with smoke like novak does?

Hooray for outsourcing. Cheaper to have another one shipped from China than it is to pay somebody here in the US to fix it. "thumbsup"

Eastrc.org makes aluminum scroll wheels for Spektrum radios. I've purchased a couple from them for DX3R and DX6i and they fit and work perfectly. High quality work. Good fast shipping. Never break a wheel again.

Tekin told me they can't replace the servo leads on the fxr and want to charge me $75 for a new fxr:roll:

That's weird, they told me for 25 bucks they'd put a new lead on my RS. Did it myself for about 5 bucks!

bust out the iron a do work!

Their customer service made them lose my business a long time ago when they first came out. I was one of the first racers in my area to use their modules/RXs and had a TON of issues with them. Their CS reps were less than helpful and I never got back 2 of the RXs I sent in for "tech inspection". I raced and traveled with one of their first sponsored carpet racers and even he had problems getting issues resolved without pulling teeth.

If you want great customer service from a radio company, then go with KO Propo or Futaba. They have the best in the business.

Yeah I had one on order but I am gonna cancel it now that I fixed it. It's a temporary fix until I get a Flysky from Losikid.

Its different than the rs...i replaced my rs leads but i don't have the equipment todo the fxr leads...i need a desoldering station so i can separate the boards and be able to get to the leads.

Easy to fix, i just didn't have the iron to split the boards in two, to get access to the leads.

The pin that goes into the chip board broke off. This is the 5th time and now the board needs replaced because it has been stripped out due to all the different times I have had to replace the wheel.
What are you doing throwing it against the rocks maybe this is why your radio is broken. Just a thought

You got it. That's exactly what I am doing. Sometimes I even use it as an anchor for my boat. The uses are endless. I never really use it as a radio or take care of it all that well for that matter. It only cost me $250. Thanks for the good words Winnerone. I am not some teenage kid with no income but my Father's to get what I have. I work for my stuff and take care of it. Sorry if all of you who were thinking about what smartass comment to post missed out on something informative.
